Fantastic experience: I have had a few different driving instructors but Amanda is just the best!! Her prices are good! She’s friendly and chatty makes you feel comfortable. Is very patient and goes through everything. Doesn’t waste no time getting you on the road unlike other driving instructors and would recommend her to anyone! Actually have two family members going with her now as well. Very highly recommended! You will definitely pass with her!!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Amanda as my driving instructor. She was kind, patient, and always composed, even when I made mistakes. She was accommodating on weeks when I had a busy schedule and she guided me through the whole process including booking tests and preparing for my theory test and gave me access to great resources. When I made enough progress, Amanda was very honest and straightforward with me about needing less lessons as I waited for my test, even though it would mean less money for her. Best of all, road chats and pep talks! Thanks Amanda!

Fantastic experience: When I first started my lessons with Amanda I had done almost 2 years of driving lessons with two other instructors, yet I still had no confidence on the road or within myself. I almost gave up learning how to drive, but from day one Amanda treated me with respect, patience and understanding, I actually looked forward to my lessons instead of being filled with anxiety about getting in the car. Within 6 months I’d past my test with zero faults! I couldn’t believe it. Amanda isn’t just a great driving instructor, she’s a great friend. I’m almost sad I passed my test, because I’m going to miss having a chat and a laugh with her. Thank you so much Amanda for helping me pass! I hope I see you out and about on the roads soon :)

Fantastic experience: I honestly couldn't recommend a better instructor, I was nervous to begin with and when struggles came up AJ talked me through them. Not only os AJ an amazing instructor she is an amazing person who genuinely cares about her students and not just about the money they will bring in.

Fantastic experience: I had Amanda as my instructor and started in manual. Was neither improving or worsening on it but there were more difficult days which made me feel miserable. I felt much better after swapping to automatic and passed my test first attempt! It's a commendation to Amanda who was patient, repeated the same things who knows how many times until I understood and was always brutally honest. With her experience, if she says you are ready, then you are ready (at least the chances of you passing first attempt is considerably high compared to if you still sat your test when she says you're not ready). And trust me, she wants us to move on from her lessons to our own independent driving as soon as possible! I enjoyed my time at Horizon Driving School and hopefully whoever is thinking of joining does as well. Thank you Amanda :)

Fantastic experience: You cannot find better than AJ at horizon driving school, I went from being so anxious being in a car to absolutely loving driving with a clean sheet and a first time pass!! AJs patience with me and support made the world of difference and you couldn’t make a better choice for an instructor! Gonna miss our little chats and looking forward to our lessons but couldn’t be more grateful for the gift of freedom she’s given me!!

Fantastic experience: Nothing but high praises for Horizon Driving School and Amanda! The excellent reviews led me to choosing Horizon Driving School, and not once have I regretted my decision. Amanda possesses such strong knowledge about the rules of the road and gives concise instructions and explanations - and still has room for clever jokes. She has been very patient with me and had always had my back every step of the way (considering how much of an anxious learner I was). I think it's safe to say that she believed in me more than I believed in myself, not to mention the unwavering guidance and pep talks! I passed first time, and this wouldn't be possible if I had not been under the hands of such a great teacher and an amazing person overall. Horizon Driving School is, definitely, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I have been driving with AJ since June and it has been an amazing experience to have a driving instructor that is so amazing, kind, knowledgeable and genuinely just an all round amazing person! I passed with 0 faults my first time and that is all attributable to AJ, she was incredibly patient with me even when I was close to giving up. If I needed help going over something again we would go over it until I was confident that I had it and she helped me through it calmly and patiently. I could not recommend her enough, an amazing driving instructor and an amazing person!

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Horizon Driving School. Amanda is an amazing driving instructor. I passed first time with only 1 fault, and before my lessons with Horizon I never would have thought I was capable of that. Very friendly and easy going, and has some great tricks up her sleeve for making parking/manoeuvres really easy!

I had a fantastic time during all the lessons and passed my theory and driving tests first time. Mark/Amanda has been amazing throughout - very patient, responsible, knowledgeable, kind and fun, with a great sense of humour to boot. I've felt safe and really enjoyed my time learning and will miss it :) Also, I've been given access to all resources needed for preparing for the tests, all for free. Fantastic experience: Mark horizon driving school. I passed today with Mark . After being with a different driving school 7 years ago I'd given up hope. So I decided to give it another go found Mark online so happy I did. Mark gave me confidence in my driving by telling me I could do it. His lessons are absolutely brilliant, you can have a laugh, talk to him, if anything is worrying you he will explain it or even show you how to get it right. With how you can talk to Mark its like you're going out for a drive with a friend, no pressure, he keeps very calm, he brought out the best in me. The lesson goes by so fast because it's brilliant chilled, fun , very informative definitely didn't feel like 1.5 hours . I can't thank you enough you're a A+ driving instructor . It's a day of great joy and also a sad day because we've had to say goodbye. Keep doing what you're amazing at Mark. Claire x

Fantastic experience: I am currently getting ready for my test and this guy is absolutely amazing he has helped me with bad habits and new things on the test made me smile and feel like a normal human and as a trans person it’s difficult to feel normal but he doesn’t care as long as you are nice he is nice he is perfect for any lgbtq+ people who are learning and also anyone who wants a nice friendly person to teach them how to drive I wish he was my instructor first time round but he is my instructor now that’s what counts if you make a mistake he will simply help you understand what the mistake was and help you to not do it again he is so relaxing to be with in the car I will happily recommend him also he doesn’t even know I’ve left the review so thank you mate for helping me get back on the road in the future yay I’m only a couple months away but I know he will make sure I’m fully ready for the day and I’m sure when he sees this he will think has she put on here before passing and yes I did because a good review is worth it also be arranging a lesson soon so look out

Fantastic experience: Incredible instructor! I was very nervous to learn to drive and generally I'm quite an anxious person, but Mark was so so patient with me. I could not have passed first time if not for their encouragement. Highly recommend if you want an instructor who provides a safe, comfortable environment to learn in :)

I was so nervous about starting my lessons but was made to feel comfortable straight away, I thoroughly enjoyed all my lessons even in the beginning when I thought I would never learn to use the clutch properly. My driving instructor Mark was great, i was the most anxious and unconfident driver and he helped me overcome that, I now feel so much more confident behind the wheel. I passed my test first time which i never thought I'd do in a million years! Fantastic experience: Absolutely incredible instructor, a fantastic human being that taught me how to drive safely and reliably, and got me through my test, making me laugh the whole time! I'd had some bad experiences with unreliable and unfriendly instructors previously, plus some incorrect teaching methods; Mark put all this right, and was so, so patient with me for the duration as well, always explaining why's and how's as well which I think is suuuper important. If you're looking for a driving school where you'll feel safe, have fun, and come out a great driver - there's no other choice! Seriously can't thank you enough Mark!
