Fantastic experience: Passed today with Carl, he really improved my confidence with driving and made a real difference to my overall driving experience. He took his time to explain things and didn’t make me feel silly for asking questions. Thank you!

Negative experience: There's so much more I could write here, but will try summarise... The owner (Mick) refuses to deal with his customers, passing all "Instructor based issues" directly back to the actual Instructor, making things very awkward during any subsequent lessons. Mick completely fails to reply to his messages, (we tried chasing him for 4 weeks - not a single response!). Mick also failed to refund money or an alternative Instructor after it was promised. Overall, it was a terrible experience and the student is now left out of pocket with no Instructor... My honest advice - avoid this company at all costs!!

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend Xpert enough! I did my lessons and passed first time today with Mick he is brilliant, we had a laugh he and puts you at ease when driving. Will defo miss our lessons!!

Fantastic experience: I passed my test on the 16th May 2022 with 2 minors, thanks to Dave. I've had so many lessons with Dave, and not only has he been an amazing instructor, but also an amazing person! He has been so supportive despite my whopping 4 fails, and has stuck with me throughout the whole process. He has helped me with booking both my practical test and bringing it forward to a closer date, and made me into an amazing driver. A brilliant driving school who will support you every step of the way. 100% recommended, and thank you for helping me unlock my independence.

Fantastic experience: Had a great time learning to drive with David Rose from Xpert, friendly, patient and able to adapt the way he taught based on what I found easiest to remember (being a visual learner) Dave inspired confidence in me and my abilities and let me learn at my own pace, often focussing on specific areas I struggled with and found different ways to approach them, very pleased with my experience thank you Dave and Xpert!

Fantastic experience: I passed my test on 30th March 2022, after several months of lessons with Steph. My instructor was exceptional, really informative and helpful, easy to chat along with and patient too, which was great for easing my nerves. I'm also very glad that I was patient and used those final few weeks/lessons before my test date to slow things down and really get to grips with the manoeuvres and test routes before doing my test. I think it was crucial to me passing my test that I waited as long as possible and took those extra few lesson opportunities to perfect everything to the best of my ability. Overall I've had a wonderful experience with Steph and Xpert Driving Training, and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I had 2 instructors before joining Xpert Driver Training and was not confident in being on the roads at all. My instructor Mick didn’t just teach me to pass the test, he coached me to be the safest driver I can be which my past 2 instructors did not. I passed first time with 4 driver faults all thanks to Xpert. 100000% recommend!! Don’t waste time, confidence or money anywhere else. Go to Xpert!!

Fantastic experience: I had Jane as my Driving Instructor and I couldn't of found a better instructor. After having failed twice before, Jane got me through with only one minor and really improved my confidence with driving. She helped me understand the reason behind doing things instead of just following step one step two etc. This was vital for my way of learning. I will be recommending XDT to friends and family without a doubt.

I had previous lessons with a different instructor which made me very anxious so after stopping for months i finally plucked up the courage and gave Xpert Driver Training a call. I couldn't recommend Carl enough, he reassured me and made my nerves disappear! Carl is a brilliant driving instructor and i wish i had heard about Xpert sooner. Fantastic experience: I had Mick from Xpert driving training as my driving instructor. He was an excellent instructor, teaching me all the things i need to know whilst allowing me to stay safe and calm whilst driving. With this i was able to pass first time around. Fantastic experience: I had my driving lessons with Jane and from the outset I knew I’d made the right choice as her warm and friendly manner put me at ease from the start. Having had many unsuccessful attempts at learning to drive I did have some driving experience and Jane quickly assessed my driving level and preferred learning style and adapted my lessons to suit this. She was so patient and allowed me the opportunity to think for myself as well as guiding me which I believe has led to me becoming a more confident driver. Fantastic experience: Would reccomend to anyone! I've lived in the UK for only a couple of years now n come from a right hand lane driving culture. When I first started driving with Steff I was terrified of the road. Not only because everything was "the wrong way around" inside and out the car, but also in another language, and even at home I've failed my test 3 times due to a combination of nerves and lack of faith in my ability or even lack of it in itself. In a few months Steff has gotten me to a point at which I felt confident to not only pass the test, which I did, but most importantly to drive safely by myself. Mick and the office staff are polite and understanding, too, and were a true pleasure to work with. In my eyes, they have earned the right to call themselves experts. Really grateful to you Steff, thank you.

Fantastic experience: I learnt how to drive with Carl from Xpert Driver Training and throughout regular weekly lessons over 5 months I was able to pass my test first time. My confidence grew over the weeks and Carl always made sure that we covered areas in the lessons that I felt I needed more practice with, or areas where I wasn't as confident. He really tailored the lessons as to what felt I wanted to do in order to improve. Carl gave me useful theory advice using an app (Theory Test Pro) and also helped me greatly with my Show Me, Tell Me questions which made me feel confident in both tests. I feel that Carl's way of teaching has prepared me for driving independently on the roads. Thank you very much :) Grace

Fantastic experience: I chose Xpert Driver Training for my driving lessons due to a recommendation from a family member. I had previously had some lessons with another company but I was a very nervous driver and had very low confidence. After a few lessons with Mick Knowles my confidence increased due to his patience and expert teaching methods. As my confidence grew, Mick ensured that I used my initiative on the roads instead of relying on his instruction which helped me become more independent and able to pass my test first time. I would recommend Mick without hesitation and can't thank him enough. The office staff helped me to book my test and were extremely helpful. All-in-all I would rate Xpert Driver Training the full five stars and would recommend them for anyone who (to quote Mick himself) wants to "learn how to drive" rather than just pass their test. Fantastic experience: Mick was patient and made me feel relaxed. He's well aware of what is acceptable to do in your test so you can find your own technique unlike some other instructors. Very honest about how you drive so he won't keep letting you do lesson after lesson if you're ready for your test he'll tell you. I had heard good reviews which is why I used Mick and I wasn't disappointed. From the first lesson to passing my test I wouldn't think about changing instructors. Fantastic experience: Driving has always been an aspiration of mine and to have passed in 6 months is a target I never would of thought I'd reached. Through those 6 months one Lady has helped me through it all, Jane is the kindest and most amazing instructor I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Teaching everything step by step was something that benefited me and Janes patience was also a blessing in the car when I was constantly forgetting things. Without Jane by my side every step of the way I would not be where I am right now, she has not only improved my driving skills and made me into a confident knowledgable driver but she has become a friend. Fantastic experience: I thought I had no hope, being 38 and having previously been through 4 instructors. However, Jane had the patience of a saint; thank god, and got me through to my test, which I passed first time, in only 8 weeks. Thank you Jane!!!! You succeeded where all others have failed!!! Fantastic experience: I am Alisha Clarke and my driving instructor was Steph and I honestly couldn't ask for a better teacher. I already knew Steph through the Scouting community so I decided to to my lessons with her. I was terrified of driving at first but she really helped boost my confidence very quickly. She was very calm with me all the time, even when things went wrong at first and explained things really clearly to help me out. There is literally nothing that could be improved about Steph's teaching or the car and service. Thank you so much for helping me!

Fantastic experience: I passed my test with Jane from Xpert driving on 3rd April 2017. I had previously taken my test 3 times and failed and then had a little break before returning to learning. When I advertised for a driving instructor on a local Facebook page Mick Knowles from Xpert Driver training said he had just the person to help me through my test and regain my confidence. Mick Knowles is highly recommended in our area for driver training so i contacted the office and booked a driver assessment with Jane to start in Feb 2017. The staff who booked me in were really friendly and helpful and due to childcare arrangements they were able to offer me a wide range of dates and times Jane was very understanding, a complete professional and very knowledgeable, using modern teaching skills to help me understand what I needed to work on and to help me gain confidence in my manouvers ready for taking my test. If it didn't click one way she tried another until it made sense, "there is no set in stone method" she told me, "everyone learns in different ways" and she was a 100%right. I found all of a sudden that driving finally made sense to me and she had taught me to think actions through so that I could independently make the right and safe driving decisions. I was really nervous on my test day but again Jane was really reassuring reminding me that I had been taught all the skills to be a safe and confident driver and she was right, I passed with only 3 minor faults. I can't recommend Jane enough. If you need to learn to drive or refresh skills do not look any further, I truly believe they are the best team around at Xpert Driver Training . They helped me gain back my confidence and my ultimate goal to drive before I hit 40 this year! . A huge thank you to Jane again, you are an amazing instructor ! Lucy McCormack

Fantastic experience: Went with micks school of driving after failing my test with a previous instructor. I had Jane as my new instructor and she helped me pass with flying colours. Would definitely recommend, well worth every penny spent and their teaching approach is very helpful for independent driving.

Fantastic experience: A relative got me started with a voucher for a two-hour lesson with Xpert Driver Training and it proved to be an inspired purchase! I never really embraced the idea of driving until I started with Mick but his methods and advice really paid off. I would highly recommend any learners out there who may be a little trepidatious to give Xpert Driver Training a call.

Fantastic experience: After moving to a new area Mick was recommended to us and glad that I chose to learn with him. With my old driving instructor I was often stressed and scared to drive but Mick's coaching style is a lot more relaxed and made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. Whilst driving with Mick I learnt to be a more independent driver which I feel has prepared me for after my test. Micks lessons were frequent and easy to book and I would happily recommend him to my family and friends.

Fantastic experience: Steph taught me to drive but the entire team from the office staff to Mick, have all been extremely helpful and encouraging in the process. I passed first time and I couldn't recommend this driving school enough! I gained confidence in my own ability thanks to Steph and she never made me feel silly for mistakes I made. Fantastic experience: I have been with Steph Coulson for the pased year and a month, and enjoyed every second, she has helped me to drive. Steph's teaching is very clear and concise and goes at pace that is best suited to you and she will happily explain anything to you should need any clarification. Steph also understands the needs of people like me who have Dyspraxia and will adjust to fit how you best learn. I would recommend Micks School of Mororing to anyone. Fantastic experience: I changed to Mick's School Of Motoring as with another instructor I wasn't making any progress and I'm so glad I did! I progressed so much faster with Mick and gained confidence through his support in every lesson. He makes driving lessons more enjoyable as well as being productive. Fantastic experience: I decided to learn with micks school of motoring because of all the good reviews I read online. The things that I learned with Steph from micks school of motoring meant that I felt comfortable driving with my parents after just a few lessons meaning I could get in as much practice as possible. Using the office to book my driving test made everything easier! All you have to do is call up and they will fill everything in and make sure that Steph or Mick (depending who you learn with) are available on that day to do the test. When you learn with micks school of motoring you get given access to theory test pro which helps so much with practicing for your theory test! You just download the app and there is just about everything to help you revise. I loved having Steph from micks school of motoring as my driving instructor! We got on really well and that meant that I enjoyed the lessons and I learned quicker. I would recommend anyone that is looking for a driving instructor and is not sure who to go with micks school of motoring! I loved learning to drive and am now comfortable to drive on my own from the great support!

Fantastic experience: I chose Mick's School of Motoring because I got recommended to him by many people. Mick's driving lessons were great and productive, I always learnt something new every lesson. I used Mick's office to book my test and the people on the phone were lovely and very helpful. I thought the Theory Test Pro app was amazing to use, it helped me so much with my theory and helped me understand the types of questions I would get in my theory test. The things I found beneficial about Mick's lessons are they were productive, always learnt something new and ended a lesson feeling more confident about my driving. In order to get my family and friends to learn with Mick I would let them know what my lessons were like and how productive they were. I would also let them know how good of an instructor he is, he makes you feel confident and comfortable when driving and makes you feel safe. I wouldn't have this independence if it wasn't for Mick:)

Fantastic experience: I found out about mick s school of motoring at work someone had niece that was having lessons with him so I rang and explained that I wasn't a teenager any more it wasn't a problem I had Steph as my instructor the confidence she gave me was amazing constantly explaining to get the best out of me . I am now driving it has given me everything I would defiantly want my teenager tought how to drive with mick s school of motoring very very reliable I had to ring the office a few times to book my test they were great they said they would look for a cancellation and they did on the whole a very good experience

Fantastic experience: I felt comfortable with Mick immediately. Even from my initial telephone enquiry. Having had lessons with a previous instructor already that didn't work out for me I found Micks way of teaching really refreshing. He has such a positive attitude and such confidence in you it really rubs off and gave me back the confidence I felt I'd lost with my previous instructor. Fantastic experience: After having very bad experience with another local instructor I decided to go to Micks School of Motoring to help me pass my test and teach me properly. I'd recommend them to anyone in the area as the teaching and lessons were first class and helped my confidence massively.

Fantastic experience: I originally considered going with Mick's school of motoring after seeing so many fantastic reviews through social media. I started driving with Mick in June 16 and he immediately got me settled. I had already driven before going to Mick and lost all confidence and gave up! Absolutely nothing was ever a problem. If I ever did something wrong and panic, he completely reassured me, always told me not to worry and we tried it again. I booked and passed my theory test very quickly due to the free access to theory test pro, something I never got from my previous instructor. I was on this every single day right up until my theory test. The practice was exactly the same to the test and I passed that with flying colours! Lisa and Ian are so unbelievably helpful at the office, nothing was ever a problem! Always willing to help which was fab. Mick always gives you the choice of what to do on your lessons. This was brilliant when I wanted to practice a hill start again! He made me feel so at ease on my driving lessons instead of a nervous wreck and I passed my test Nov 16. I honestly cannot recommend him enough!

Fantastic experience: My uncle recommended Mick to me, as I was unsure who to use. Using the office to book my test made it very easy for me, and they were very helpful. Mick provided me with Theory test pro which was excellent and taught me everything I needed to know so I could pass first time, and it was free. Mick is a brilliant instructor. I could choose what I wanted to practice in lessons and if I didn't get it the first time he would try a different way to suit me best which I really liked.
