Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Garry enough as a driving instructor! Thanks to his excellent guidance, I passed my driving test on the first attempt. From starting lessons at the end January to passing my test in July, Garry consistently arrived early for every lesson and was superb at explaining things clearly and thoroughly. His calm and supportive demeanor made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. He was also more than happy to fit in extra hours in the lead-up to my test. If you're looking for an instructor who is professional, patient, and effective, Garry is the one to choose!

Fantastic experience: When my son went to Loughborough university, I started to research driving instructors. I had a conversation with Garry and was immediately confident in his approach. Lessons are a good length, the same regular slot every week - and he was happy to work with my sons timetable and with holiday periods. We were happy to wait until Garry had an opening for him. My son got a very short notice cancellation test date and Garry was able to respond quickly and support him for that test date. He is very flexible. As far as teaching is concerned, my son found Garry very likeable, structured and very calm. My son enjoyed learning with him, and now happily has a full driving licence. We would definitely reccomend Garry Needham.

Fantastic experience: I had started with Garry over a year ago after being dropped by my previous Driving Instructor. When I started with Garry, I was very nervous. My confidence in Driving had been severely knocked and also my Driving anxiety was at an all-time high, but after a year I had to re-do my driving theory test as my previous one was about to run out and also I had passed my test second time around. But in this year with being with Garry I had changed I’ve become more confident in my driving, and also my Driving anxiety went down significantly to where I wasn’t anxious at all. I would recommend Garry all the time as Garry is very calm, and also very knowledgeable with Driving and how to teach his students as well. Thank you so much.

As a fairly nervous driver, Gary was very reassuring and didn’t let me give up. Fantastic experience: Garry was a fantastic teacher who guided me throughout this process. He was always punctual in being there a few minutes before every lesson. He was also very supportive in the car in easing me throughout the process of learning and applying new skills. Furthermore, he broke everything down logically so it was easy to understand. He was very calm and patient in addressing the problematic areas and highlighting what I could improve on. In terms of lesson timings, he was very flexible in working around my university/training timings. Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Garry enough! Garry was always on time to lessons. The car was always clean. Garry went above and beyond for me - re arranging lessons as I could no longer do the day I was doing and also the week before my test fitted in multiple lesson for me. On test day it was raining and so I didn’t get soaked Garry walked all the way over to the car with me holding the umbrella! Many thanks! Fantastic experience: Thanks to Garry and his dedication to getting his students ready for passing on their first driving exam, I was able to do just that! Although a nervous driver at first, the month leading up to my exam Garry let me pick up extra hours to make sure I would be a comfortable and safe driver. He was never late, actually usually early, with the car always in a nice clean condition. I always felt at ease and could ask any questions if I was unsure on something. Fantastic experience: Garry is a calm, experienced and respectable driving instructor. By far the best instructor in and around the Loughborough area. During the 20+ hours of lessons i had with Garry, he was always 5/10 minutes early, ready to start. The car was in perfect condition, mechanically and clean inside. During COVID, everything was thoroughly cleaned between every lesson and masks were a neccessity. The professionalism shown through Garry was exeptional and well above any other instructor or school around LE11.

He is very professional, with lessons always being well structured in working towards progressive driving goals, and he always arrived early for lessons with the car clean and in perfect condition. Fantastic experience: Garry has been an absolutely incredible instructor. He is always punctual and reliable, he focused each of my lessons on specific areas to help me practise and improve but also listened to what I said I wanted to focus on and included those areas within the lessons too. He always remained calm and patient with me and had such a relaxing manner. Whenever I made mistakes, he would always be encouraging me and reassuring me, not putting me under any stress or pressure. Before and after each lesson, Garry discussed with me my progress and reviewed how the lesson went and this was a huge help. His car was always in immaculate condition and he always dressed formally, keeping up with the high level of professionalism his driving school upholds. I started off with no driving experience whatsoever, but thanks to Garry, I passed my driving test yesterday (20/6/19) on the first attempt with only 1 minor and I really enjoy driving now. Fantastic experience: Garry was the the best driving instructor I could've hoped to have - he focussed all of my lessons on specific areas of improvement so that any issues were quickly worked out, and his attention to detail throughout meant, come test day, I felt confident and fully prepared. Any questions I had were answered, and his knowledge of driving, handy tips and the specifics needed for the test meant I always felt in very competent hands. He was punctual, never arriving late, and no time was ever wasted. The car I learnt in was excellent, and was perfect for the test day as well. Having passed my test first time, I now feel confident enough to go out driving by myself, something which I owe to Garry's teaching. A particular stand out for me is that Garry is not only always early and never rushes off, but he also uses the full time booked (or as much as possible) for actual driving; where many instructors would cut into the driving time to discuss the lesson ahead or review progress, Garry consistently makes sure we have time before and after the allocated slot to ask any questions and go through any necessary points. Fantastic experience: Garry was the key to me passing my driving test 1st time with 1 minor. He made driving easy to understand, and not once did I feel uncomfortable completing a manoeuvre or doing something new. He is calm, friendly, patient and understanding of external factors such as financial strain and personal disruptions. I'd 100% recommend Garry without hesitation, ESPECIALLY to a nervous driver. Fantastic experience: Garry is a superb driving instructor, was very calm and patient with me during every lesson which made me feel at ease especially when it came to taking my test. He's always on time for every lesson and you always get the full hour of driving to get the most out of each lesson. My lessons also included being taken around most of the test routes so I could familiarise myself with them to then be more confident when it came to test day. Garry always asks at the end of each lesson what you think went well and what needs to be improved so you can work on them on the next lesson which is great as it allows you to recognise your mistakes and not make them again. He is a great driving instructor and I thank him immensely for all his hard work with me, especially as he had to rearrange some of his lessons to accommodate my very last minute test! Fantastic experience: Having passed yesterday with only 4 minors I can without doubt say that Garry is a fantastic driving instructor who is always patient and ensures you feel confident with your driving. Always making sure you have something learnt well before moving onto the next skill, Garry gives you control over the lesson so you can learn at the right pace. In addition to this, Garry offers 2 hour lessons which is fantastic for when you have just started learning and you need that extra time. However the best thing about Garry is that he taught me not only how to pass my driving test, but how to be a safe and competent driver. Fantastic experience: I switched to Garry after having a previous instructor who put down any confidence I had of driving. My girlfriend had passed with, and then recommended Gary to me and within 8 to 9 months I passed first time. Fantastic experience: With Garry's help I've passed my test first time with only 2 minors. Garry is always on time for your lessons and stays patient. Garry always helps you to reflect on your driving and guides you in the right direction. The use of some of the visual guides to show you what junction you are going to approach and how to do it correctly really helps to make sure you do it right the first time. Garry also really drills the errors out of you, to make sure you don't do any stupid mistakes in your test and pass first time !

Fantastic experience: Garry taught my eldest daughter to drive, and when my younger daughter reached 17 I had no hesitation asking Garry to teach her also. Both passed their tests with ease and have gone on to become very confident and safe drivers. Garry's teaching style is professional and detailed but also friendly and enjoyable. He provided me with regular updates on their progress by email, plus suggestions of what we should practice when I was accompanying them. He was always turned up on time, in a clean and well presented tuition car, and they always received the full time period booked.
