Fantastic experience: I cannot give enough praise for Mike 4 who taught my son to drive. With his help and expertise my son passed his test first time with no faults at the Erith test centre. Cannot recommend Mike 4 enough.

Fantastic experience: Today I passed my Driving Test at Sidcup first time with only 3 minor faults. The Driving Instructor Mike (4) is the main reason for that. Mike (4) is the best Driving Instructor in the world! I recommend him 100%

Negative experience: One of their car cut in front of me from the wrong lane, without any indication. I had to swerve on the pavement to avoid it and in the process, damage my front left wheel alloy. No apologies from the instructor - I do understand students are here to learn but instructors should know better. No signs to apologise at all. I was behind that car for another 10 minutes and never did the student use indicators, respect the speed limit or use a round about properly; not use lane indications the right way. I would strongly suggest to use another school if you want to learn properly. If that’s also how they teach how to drive, we’re in serious danger in the future. I called the school the next day to explain and the lady immediately said it was my fault without listening to what had happened. She was rude and short fused. All I needed was an acknowledgment and an apology. Sadly will have to involve the council and relevant transport authority for the insurance.

Negative experience: One of their cars pulled up outside my house to pick up a near by student. Whilst waiting the instructor opens their window and threw rubbish onto the pavement. Maybe shouldn’t litter in a vehicle covered in company branding or maybe don’t litter at all.

Fantastic experience: As seen in many reviews and rated highly, Mike aided me to pass my test. Not only helping to pass the test, Mike improved my driving sincerely and genuinely majorly enhanced my knowledge and understanding on the road. To add is a lovely bloke, never made me feel uncomfortable and would extremely encourage any new learner drivers to learn under him. Do not have a single bad thing to say and again this is the one guys book while u can.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely first class driving school! I was taught many, many moons ago (1997) by Dave Miller JR, such an awesome instructor. I was then passed on to Mike and continued with him. I passed on my second attempt (first test I muffed it up) second test I sailed straight through. I have been driving now for 26 years and I've never had a single point, ticket or accident (that wasn't my fault) and I credit Dave Miller for teaching me so well.

Negative experience: Considering 11 years ago I passed here the woman who answers the phone is beyond rude! Clearly not interested in the business needs or customers

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs, the “instructor” turned up on the first day and as he was getting out of the car, it began rolling back!! He hadn’t even applied the handbrake! Just avoid, it’s all a con, if I could submit zero stars I would have. Ps the company is not listed on Companies House!

Positive experience: After some turbulent months with having to change instructors, I ended up with Mike for the remainder of my lessons who completely reworked my driving and helped me pass first time. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Great driving instructor. I had Mike 4 after a recommendation, thanks to his help and support I was able to pass first time with zero minors. All down to him, he made it a really enjoyable experience.

Negative experience: Gave them the benefit of the doubt after reading some reviews but WOW! Absolutely disgusting service on the phone, spoke to me like I was something on the bottom of her shoe! Will most definitely not be getting my custom and would urge people to avoid if you like dealing with people who have basic manners!

Fantastic experience: I have had an excellent experience with Dave Miller and I am happy to say I passed with them! I was lucky enough to have Mike (4) to guide me through my learning, reassure me when I had hiccups and cheer me on for my test. I would recommend Dave Miller to anyone and would advise them to ask for him 100% of the time.

Negative experience: Truly horrible experience with this company. I had never driven before taking my first lesson and my instructor was extremely rude. He was very short-tempered and kept shouting and this made me lose all concentration, therefore leading me to make numerous mistakes. He ended my lesson an hour early and did not even bother to help me correct the mistakes I was making. He uttered foul language, which is no way for an instructor to behave, and we phoned Dave Miller himself to inform him of my experience and he immediately jumped to the instructor's side instead of wanting to listen to my side of events. This experience has made me lose all confidence in driving and I will certainly not go to this company, should I ever want to learn to drive again.

Fantastic experience: I passed my test this morning with no minors and I couldn’t have done it without Mike(4). He has been teaching me since I was 17, I am now 19 and he has been so patient and polite, pushing me to do my best. He has given me so many tips and been so supportive! He likes everything to be done perfectly which obviously pays off! I couldn’t thank him enough. If you do your lessons with Dave Miller, ask for Mike(4)!!!!

Fantastic experience: Mike (4) is the best instructor, if it wasn’t for him I would still be trying to get my license. I can’t speak for any other instructor but he was so so patient with me for each one of my lessons and always gave me so many tips. I cannot say enough good things about him and the way he works. Thanks to him I passed my driving test with only 1 minor and that was on vehicle checks!!! If you choose Dave Miller for your driving ASK FOR MIKE(4).

Negative experience: I watched a driver with this school get in his car and drive away with his phone to his ear. Only been illegal around 15 years now. Unreal, this individual is teaching people to drive! Seen the number plate on here on other reviews so adding it as well LX18 LVH

Negative experience: Bought my daughter 10 lessons. She had 8 before lockdown. Unfortunately during lockdown she lost the vouchers. Company refused to honour the last 2 lessons. Was going to book further lessons with them for her but will now be going elsewhere. Was rude on phone and unprofessional in my opinion

Fantastic experience: Justin is one of the best instructors you could have asked for. If you do choose to have lessons make sure you ask for Justin. Really caring and has a lot of patience.

Fantastic experience: Mike (#4) is a fabulous driving instructor. He really helped to build my confidence with driving through some refresher lessons. He was always very encouraging, and really made the effort to understand the areas of driving I was concerned about and wanted to focus on. I feel like Mike gave me great constructive advice and a lot of autonomy over the lesson. I felt able to ask silly questions and that he has a great way of explaining things - he also had a great sense of humour! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I use Dave millers after using other driving schools and being unsuccessful, I was assigned to Mike 4 and I honestly cannot praise him enough. Mike was incredibly patient and understanding. I carried out lessons for just over 1 year and passed my test first time on Christmas Eve 2019. I cannot thank mike enough and highly recommended Dave millers to friends and others looking for a trustworthy driving school. Thank you again Mike!

Negative experience: I will never recommend this driving school to anyone who is looking to have lessons. This is such a shame as some of the instructors are dragging the name of this company through the mud. My experience with my instructor Kevin 3 was horrendous. He was rude, corrections were made with attitude & force, he had no sense of humour & did not speak when we had lessons. I was highly uncomfortable. He shouted at me on a few occasions. He also told me that he did not care if I panicked on the road and one was an absolute nightmare to have as an instructor. He also told me that you always have to drive at the speed set. E.g. if it’s 30MPH, you must drive at 30!! If I did 28, he’ll start shouting and saying the speed has dropped to low. Honestly, this man should not be an instructor. I’ve also heard bad things about him from other people. Hated leaving my home to have my lessons. Purposely did not do things within the lessons in order to prolong the lessons I needed and get extra money. Imagine driving up and down the same 30MPH roads for 5 lessons, not doing what was supposed to be done in a lesson just because another learner driver was doing a manoeuvre in the place you wanted to take your learner to. Absolute garbage. I also tried to get other lessons within the week and he’ll always say there’s no space, meanwhile his diary was empty. He didn’t even allow me to do so, it was either a 1 hourly lesson a week or I had to have a 2 hourly lesson a week. I could not never split the 2 hour lesson into 2 days. I ended up cutting him off and going private. Didn’t learn that much with him but by going private I learnt everything plus more. Best decision I ever made as I passed my test in 2 weeks with only 4 minors. SHAME ON THE INSTRUCTORS WHO ARE PURPOSELY DRAGGING THE COMPANIES NAME THROUGH THE MUD. Judging by the high number of bad reviews, you can tell this place is not worth the time or your hard earned money. Highly disappointed!! If you get a Kevin .. RUN!!!! He will do anything to get money, such a nasty person to have as an instructor. He also swore at other road users, which was so uncalled for. If your looking for a driving school go to Intensive Courses. They are an absolute gem & I highly recommend them. You’ll pass your test with ease.

Fantastic experience: I had lessons for around 7 weeks with Justin, passed my theory and practical first time. Justin is an absoloute credit to the driving school and I would recommend him to anyone! He has an ability to make you feel comfortable and confident, even on the streets of London. Teaches you in good time and manages to find different ways to explain things and clear up confusion. Brilliant experience and would recommend.

Negative experience: Just seen you on the m25, swerving across lanes while texting on your phone. Is this what you teach your pupils?

Negative experience: I had a very nasty experience with one of the instructors called Kevin,he is tall,big and very aggressive who sleeps while I was left by myself to do the driving,he will wake up suddenly and start shouting at me. I felt so bad I cried.This man should be stopped from duping people and that's why am putting this review.The company is not doing enough to help at all as I can see a lot of bad reviews.Stop this Dave Miller and do the right things by people.

Negative experience: Terrible service , instructor hasn’t turned for lessons three times , we have a small baby and it’s hard as it is ... on top of that he doesn’t pick up the phone or answers messages . Stay away at all cost !!!!

Negative experience: Their instructors are lousy drivers, don't know or care much for the rules of the road, how can you expect to learn anything from them?

Negative experience: Can't be that good of a driving instructor when they drive around dangerously. Video on YouTube of a popular cyclist being cut up by this guy. Judging by the other reviews on here they appear to be a terrible instructor to boot. Avoid this person if you want to learn how to drive.

Negative experience: Wouldn't recommend!!! My daughter had about 30 lessons with her instructor George. At first we thought they were going well until I took her out for a lesson. We went up a hill & she stalled the car. She had no idea how to do a hill start. Apparently, her instructor hadn't got round to that after 30 lessons. She had been 'bay parking' just once & had only driven into a space! It transpired that she had not been taught hardly any manoeuvres. On a number of occasions the instructor had done things which my daughter thought was dangerous. She was driving along the A2 when a message came up on the courtesy car that her instructor had. As she was driving, he started fiddling with the indicators & the switches on them in order to try & cancel the message on the dash board. Then on another occasion, he saw someone he knew so he started beeping her horn & waving across her line of vision. He also insisted that she book her lessons with him instead of booking online, but he would then change the price of her lesson depending on time & day of week. It appeared to me that her instructor just wanted to extort as much money as possible from her. And as she was just 17 & quite shy, he managed to get away with it. I worry that he is doing this to other student's & that they are being taken advantage of. George told my daughter that she would not say when she was ready for her test only he would say. He told her she was not ready for her theory & yet she booked it 2 weeks after stopping her lessons & passed her theory test. George knew that she needed to pass her test by August as she needed a full licence for Uni in September. Her new instructor Colin was shocked at how little she had been taught & he even said that Dave Miller had just been dragging her lessons out to get as much money as possible from her. I would advise everyone to stay away from them, especially if your instructor is George!!

Negative experience: No customer service!!! You pay money for lessons and then is Dave Miller unable to give you an instructor for your driving test. Not picking up the phone or replying to emails. Don’t go there for your lessons! A terrible service that only wants your money.

Negative experience: very poor. my instructor Dave had a bit of an anger issue and talks to you a horrible manner which gets me nervous and making more mistakes. my instructor with another company is brilliant.

Negative experience: I WOULDN'T RECOMENT THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!! I was recomend this place by a so called friend , who later stoped driving altogether. After months of learning with them and two teacher latter, I can honestly say they made me HATE driving. The teachers are arrogunt, rude and feel the need to point out every other road uses flaus on the road, instead of focusing on you. They don't care about your feeling or the stressfull environment they creat, while your driving. This is extremely DANGEROUS because I remember almost CRASHING by the Oval. When finally after 45 minutes of non stop shouting from my teacher which caused me to make more mistakes. I turned towards him yelling back and ended up going on the pavment and almost crashing. The teacher didn't let me go, didn't focus on parking which was what I was meant to be doing in the first place and even after almost crashing didn't think about the reason it happened. He only shut up after i had my little rant. At the end of the lesson his apology didn't even seem genuine. 'Sorry about tonight, next week we will put this behind us and try again.' I know it's petty not to forgive someone, but he was starting to sound like the boy who cried wolf. I 'm aware your probably wondering why I would stay with a school like that for months, if they were so bad. While after saying bye to my first teach, I still had tickets left which were NON REFUNDABLE (and for good reason). When I got my second teacher, they had me so convinced it was my fault and they have the right to be so rude and disrespectful to me, just because their the teacher and no matter where I went it would be the same.  I'm a teacher to but I never look down on my stuednts' or treat them with a lack of respect. I tried to sell my leftover tickets no one wanted them. So I tried the friend that recomended them to me, her respons. 'No thank you, I left them they were too back'. Thanks for the warning Kate! My family would ask me how the lessons where going, whenever I would tell them about the hour. They would look at me funny and say thats not right. My uncle who I didn't know used to be a student left them years ago and went to another school. It was thanks to him telling me about his experiance I decided to try another school. Matt Shurmer is an amazing school. From the very first phone call you are made to feel at ease, with their friendly nature. You are then sent an email with a code of conduct, and you know what to expect from the lessons. Through the process you are encouraged and made to feel at ease. This school is definetly worth every penny. Thanks to them I am finnally enjoying driving, and looking forward to my lessons

Negative experience: im traumatized to go back in driving for nearly 4 months..the instructor would be continuously shouting at me for making small mistakes, snatch the steering wheel off my hand, get aggressive and be on his phone, bad-mouthing previous students. ABSOLUTE WORST. Dreaded and cried after every lesson with him.

Negative experience: My driving instructor was constantly on his phone whilst I was driving. I would not recommend this driving school. As all they are interested in is taking your money.

Negative experience: Probably the worst driving school around. Poor organisation for cancelling lessons and customer service when you call the office. My instructor would arrive late constantly and then end the lesson 10 minutes early at my house! As well as smoking to and from my door when collecting me. It wasn't until I changed driving schools that I realised I had not been taught the basics and fundamentals of driving such as checking mirrors and turns. I was never nagged for not checking mirrors or turning wide! My money was wasted and when I asked to do something different other than drive around for a whole hour each lesson, I was told I wasn't ready. Dave Miller prolong your learning to be able to extort as much money from you as possible. I suggest using a different driving school although they have cheap prices, in the long run you're paying the price of not learning key driving skills.

Negative experience: Absolutely awful company from the start! receptionist so unbelievable rude, do not want to put themselves out for anyone, do not answer any of the 6 phone numbers they have! and then was too lazy and rude to even to help me! Then went with Lanes driving school which i highly recommend, and found that the instructor I had with dave miller was teaching me practise that had been abolished in 1998!

Negative experience: I wont recommend it. For two times in a row my instructor was more than 15 min late, and when I call the office besides the women being rude and rushing me about they never care about it. They simply say "I will get the instructor to call you". Once my instructor failed to show up and after I had my day ruined because I couldn't plan to do anything else, I simply got an apology. Called the office and had the same response " Will get the instructor to contact you". Today I had an appointment at the hospital that got delayed and asked for a change of lesson and they told me that I would be charged with the £40 for the lesson that I didn't have. Where are the morals? It's OK for the company to fail me and not show up, not even with a warning!!!! But I call to inform that something has happen that was out of me reach to change and I still get charged. Not using Dave Miller again.
