Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant experience. Did my cbt and my lessons for my mod 1 and mod 2 with these guys and passed first time! Hugh, Colin and Alex are brilliant teachers and we're so patient with me after my confidence taking a knock after breaking my foot out riding after I did my CBT. Fairly decent price range too. Highly recommend.

They put 100% time in each lesson . If you doing something wrong , they will work with you until you get it 100% right . Fantastic experience: Having never ridden a motorcycle before I was a little nervous but these guys are great! The one day CBT course takes you over all the basics/safety and has you up and running in no time. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient and very encouraging (as well as a bit of craic!) and soon help put you at ease. From having zero experience they had me out on the roads in a few hours & CBT completed. Thanks guys.

Fantastic experience: I started with A+ coming from a background with no motorbike experience. From the get go all instructors are friendly and inviting. They make you feel welcome whilst also giving you the best possible teaching experience. I could not recommend these guys enough. If you want to get your motorbike license these are your people.

Fantastic experience: CBT done with Colin on the 21st of May and genuinely can’t recommend enough, now working towards the full Cat A licence and having driven cars for 15 years now have the taste for the “big bike”. Thank you to Colin, Roly and A+. Update 31st of July (few weeks holidays etc after my CBT) and just passed the full on road after completing the off road on the 1st of July. Full Cat A achieved with the help of Colin and Hugh can't thank you enough . A+ living up to their name.

Fantastic experience: I had the most amazing experience at A+ Motoring Academy Ltd today going through my CBT. My instructor Alex was extremely professional, student focused knowledgeable and very through which I liked. The bikes were well maintained and clothing supplied without any issue from colin (had to give colin a mention) All instructions were well explained prior to taking to the motorcycles controls and the safety aspects that my instructor Alex maintains are second to none. During the road phase of the training my instructor was in constant contact through earpiece communication providing valuable knowledge to keep the students safe and promote motorcycle road safety. Fantastic experience: Can’t praise all of the instructors at A+ enough. I originally did my CBT and A2 test with them in 2019 and passed everything first time. In the past month I then decided to do my full license and even at short notice, they organised everything so well. Once again, I passed everything first time. With special thanks to Colin and his tireless patience and excellent attitude for getting me ready for my mod 1 and mod 2. Couldn’t ask for a better set of instructors. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: bit disappointed by the CBT on the motorbike today. I had never been on a motorbike before and hadn't driven. So it was apparent it would take more time to get hold of the brake and clutch than others. But just one hour in. I felt Colin was already being impatient and mentioned I was better off being on the scooter. I said I still wanted to do motorbike and got a better hang of the clutch and break with the passing hour. But around three hours in, the other instructor Alex decided that I should try instead with the scooter. I found managing speed on a scooter way more difficult and found the motorbike way more safer. Alex kept saying the scooter was the easiest thing to ride, though twice I was almost about to fall off into the highway. The third time eventually fell and injured my legs. I felt I could manage my speed a lot more on motorbike and even though it was taking me time, I was feeling confident. I felt from the very beginning I wasn't given a chance and there was pressure to do CBT on a scooter. I felt the whole experience very disheartening with Alex towards the end saying that I am not cut to ride a motorbike. Given it was my first time ever on a motorbike, and no experience with a car, I was actually happy with how I was doing and understood that even though I may take more time to get CBT it's something I was enjoying. I had to cut short my CBT journey on the scooter which I didn't enjoy even a little bit at 12:30 as I eventually injured myself and still had to pay 200 pounds for this horrendous lesson. From the beginning, there was a sense of impatience I had from Colin which made me more nervous than I was. I really wish I could get a refund because I feel this experience has set me back rather than infused any sense of confidence. I will of course get my CBT but hopefully with someone more patient, safer and with more empathy I do want to mention it was in Craigavon

Fantastic experience: Just passed my A motorcycle test in Lisburn and I’m over the moon. I thought I’d be a bundle of nerves on the day of my test but no. I went into the test filled with confidence knowing I could do it and I did thanks to A+ motorcycle academy. Thanks guys you’re the best! a dream come true!

Fantastic experience: Have used these guys for two CBTs, then lessons + bike hire for my Mod 1 + Mod 2 for an unrestricted A License. Roly, Hugh, and Colin gave instruction. Service was outstanding. Short notice flexibility to get my license as quickly as possible? No problem. Asking for more lessons than I really needed before the test? Strong advice to save my money. Unhappy with the clutch on the particular Kawasaki I'd been provided? No issue at all, let's switch you over to a different machine. Pessimism about my ability to shift smoothly just before my Mod 2? All the encouragement I needed to pass with only 3 minors. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant motorcycle training academy. As an older female I have to say the instructors at A+ Academy were an outstanding team. Rolly you should be proud of each and everyone. They all showed great patience and took time to explain all my questions which helped my understanding of safe motorcycling. They have the ability to provide excellent training but having a laugh and putting students at ease and as a female I felt completely at ease with evey instructor a fabulous bunch of guys who know their craft. A big thankyou to everyone on helping me gain my bike licence.

Fantastic experience: What a blast , just passed my A class licence with these guys . They were so helpful in preparing me for the on road and off road tests , got to give a big thanks to Hugh, Craig and Colin but not forgetting the elusive Rolly . Honestly, the set up these guys have works use them, you won’t be disappointed

Negative experience: Had high expectations but left disappointed. Instruction for bike was okay but failed to prepare adequately for the test—lacking critical details. Had asked the owner about all the details etc of how they would instruct for the test and told him my experience level, replied ‘Thanks ’ without explaining anything. As it was a recommendation from a friend I figured they’d just take care of the situation and do it properly/explain at the time. Only had 1 hour 15 minutes of instruction, less than industry standard then went straight to the test. Arrived at the test center just 2 minutes before due to a navigation error, contributing to the overall rushed and unprepared experience. Didn’t comprehensively cover what the examiner would actually be looking for in the test. Will not be returning for a retest—opting for another school instead. Everything was okay with practice and was told I’d be fine going into the test. Sharing below my experience of organising the test so others can make their own judgement. 1st August: Me: That works - so how will the days roll exactly? I'll fly over on the 6th, we'll do an offroad on the 7th and on road on the 8th? Ride a vespa/moto often enough but haven't ridden a full bike before. Will be enough time to get used to it before the offroad test? Him: Thanks 1 week later on 9th August: Him: Did you get sorted Clearly the priority of the school should be to educate students, not on numbers of students they can fit in.

Fantastic experience: I had a great day with instructor Craig and some other boys doing our CBT. They were knowledgable and good craic. If anyone is interested in getting on a bike I highly recommend giving A+ a call. Update: Craig, Coly and Roly have continued to help me a lot to get through my big bike test in a short period of time. I'm picking up my new bike tomorrow ;) I still highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Done my CBT with Alex and had the most fun ive had in a long time. I'd highly recommend them didn't take long to get booked in and went from a complete novice to having a fairly good understanding of the bike all in a few hours :D
