Fantastic experience: I highly recommend McDougall's Driving School! After having very little experience driving (a few lessons around London 15 years ago) I wanted to start learning again, but was struggling to find anyone around the High Peak area with any availability for lessons. All the instructors I spoke to highly recommended Lynsey at McDougall's Driving School in Buxton! So I booked a 35 hour intensive course. Originally I started out as a very nervous driver, Lynsey quickly helped build my confidence, was always calm, patient, and we had a good laugh during every lesson! She was very accommodating when lessons needed to be rearranged around my work schedule and bad weather. I was very glad to have had Lynsey as my instructor, and because of her amazing teaching I passed first time! To quote the examiner "some of the best driving I have seen in a long time".

I was an older than average learner who decided at about 7 months pregnant that I wanted to learn to drive before having a baby. With one of Lynsey’s 2-week intensive driving courses and some extra lessons in the lead up to my test I passed just in time Lynsey made learning to drive a fun and enjoyable experience, and she was very accommodating in organising lesson times. Would reccomend!

Fantastic experience: Lynsey is a really great instructor! I came to her having had a few lessons with another instructor but I had only knew the very basics of driving around and had not done any manoeuvres and was very unconfident in my driving. Lynsey completely sorted my driving confidence issues as she is so kind and patient and super calm when you make mistakes. Not only did Lynsey get me ready for a test within a week of starting my course with her, she even took the time to find the test for me, checking the website constantly, as I had been really struggling to get one! Would 1000% recommend

Fantastic experience: A fantastic instructor who takes good pride in her work. I did an intense course in a time period that is not typically offered and she did everything to accommodate this and help me to get through my learning and test. Having never driven a car in my life before, Lynsey was able to get me fully qualified in literally just 10 days! I can't recommend her enough, she made every lesson enjoyable, we always had a laugh and she always did what she could to boost my confidence but also ensure I am staying safe for myself/others. Would highly recommend Lynsey for her patience, price, knowledge, friendliness and positivity!

Fantastic experience: I contacted many different instructors in the Buxton area once I finally passed my theory first time (took me almost 7 years). Lynsey offered the best service that I could find and after my first lesson with her, I felt extremely confident in being able to pass my test before I left for America in May. In total I had 6 lessons with Lynsey including a lesson on test day (I have had lessons with other instructors over the years). I would like to thank her for being extremely patient with me and flexible as I had a couple of appointments away in London during the last 6 weeks. Lynsey showed me great professionalism and even helped me when I had a really bad lesson. Overall, I managed to pass my driving test first time and I do highly recommend Lynsey to anyone who lives in Buxton or is moving to Buxton to study at university and haven't passed their test. Lynsey will get you through quickly, efficiently and will teach you everything you need to know.

Fantastic experience: Since starting my lessons last year in March 2016, Lynsey has been both flexible and understanding to when I can do my lessons. Lynsey had faith and confidence in me right up until my test which was a huge help!! Lynsey stayed calm throughout each lesson which made me feel so relaxed and confident in myself. We also had quite a giggle too throughout every lesson which I believed helped me up until my test date as I remained quite calm as I built trust in her as my Driving Instructor. Fantastic experience: After failing my first test with another instructor – Lynsey helped me through to passing my second test with only two minors! Genuinely the most relaxed and consistent instructor, perfect for anyone who began slightly nervous like myself. Despite being taught in a very strict way in the past, Lynsey taught me in the way which was best for me and listened to what I had to say about my learning style. She also calmed me down massively on the morning of my test which filled me with confidence. Couldn’t recommend this woman anymore!! Thank you Lynsey :)
