Fantastic experience: Very good driving instructor, passed my first time in oxford. He’s very friendly and made me feel confident on the road.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant instructor. Felt incredibly relaxed every time I was behind the wheel with him. Passed first time with Steve's help. He works incredibly hard with you on the area you identify, and he encourages you to be a reflective driver not just a reactive one. This will help you even after you have passed. Cannot recommend highly enough!!!

Negative experience: Steve taught my daughter for about 10 weeks. I had to cancel the lessons. Paying £90 every lesson is expensive and he still thought it was acceptable to stop for a fag break on every lesson and also use his mobile phone whilst he should have been teaching her. He is supposed to be a responsible adult and the way he spoke to my daughter about other students is unacceptable. He should grow up and act his age.

Fantastic experience: Been driving with Steve for about 8-9 months and only had positive experiences. Very kind and incredibly patient. Steve worked hard to help me become confident in driving before my test. Pleased to say I passed and massive credit to Steve. I would highly recommend choosing Steve to anyone learning to drive.

Fantastic experience: Steve is an incredible driving instructor! When I first came to Steve I had already been learning how to drive for several years. Due to being a slightly older learner driver, some bad experiences with another instructor, and the delays caused my COVID meant I was a very nervous driver. Steve's patience, sense of humour, pragmatic approach, and skill as an instructor made going out for driving lessons something I now looked forward to rather than stress and worry about. Despite a few failed attempts at driving tests (my old nerves unfortunately got the better of me), Steve stuck by me and I passed my test in May this year. I couldn't have done it without Steve and i'm incredibly thankful that I now have the independence and freedom that driving can provide. For anyone looking for a driving instructor look no further than Steve. You'll be in good hands.

Fantastic experience: Steve is an amazing driving instructor and made me feel really calm and comfortable when doing lesson. He is super funny and we were always able to have a laugh whilst driving! Going to miss our lesson but glad he is the reason I passed first time!!

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend enough! Brilliant teacher and accommodating form the start, had a lot of ups and downs with personal and medical issues but neither were ever seen as an issue or hinderance to Steve, should be everyone’s only option!

Fantastic experience: Steve is an amazing instructor, i was a nervous driver but he help create a relaxed environment where i could laugh and chill out but still be learning. i only had 4 months of lessons and i passed 1st time with 5 minors all thanks to him. i would definitely recommend him.

Fantastic experience: Six stars! I have a foreign driver's license and hadn't driven in the UK for many years. I was initially really nervous about driving but Steve is really really good about putting you at ease. He's a great teacher and gets you actually driving quickly, instead of keeping you in 1st gear forever like some instructors (who shall remain nameless). As other reviewers have said, Steve will make sure you're equipped to take the test before you go so you're not wasting time and money on repeated failed tests. I'm recommending him to anyone I know who needs lessons. He got me over the finish line and I now have a UK driver's license which is ultimately what you want in an instructor!

Fantastic experience: Initially i struggled to find a driving instructor that i could get along with, after finding Steve we clicked, he stayed with me after breaks in lessons Etc. Steve is a really nice down to earth guy, he will make sure you feel comfortable in the car. Steve also will ensure you are completely equipped for your test before recommending you take it. i passed first time with only two minors which was completely down to Steve's reassurance and experience in instructing, Thank you very much, i will miss the laughs we had.

I was nervous to do my test but he calmed my nerves and I managed to pass first time with only 3 minors. Also to add he is a very patient driving instructor so is perfect for everyone who is new to driving a car. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Steve was a very patient teacher who is always up for a laugh, I passed within 20 hours lesson time. Genuinely wants his students to pass as soon as they are ready as opposed to other instructors who are more concerned with financial gain.

Fantastic experience: Very patient and considerate when teaching his students, he helped me pass in just under 8 months and would talk through mistakes if they were made and explain how to improve yourself. Fantastic experience: Such a great teacher and lovely person, although sometimes difficult and frustrating, my lessons with Steve were incredibly worthwhile. Can’t say I’ve ever had a teacher really teach me so much, and not just in terms of driving. If you want a persistent, kind and most importantly fun instructor, Steve’s your guy! Missing our lessons Steve!

Fantastic experience: My experience with Steve Stratford was very positive. He is very patient, has a good amount of knowledge on using the road and up for a laugh where appropriate.

Fantastic experience: Both my sister and I learned with Steve and quite frankly I couldn't tell you which one of us enjoyed our lessons more. I was an incredibly stubborn and difficult pupil but Steve went above and beyond to help me pass. He was always as flexible as he could when arranging lessons. I looked forward to every lesson and, although thrilled to become a qualified driver, I couldn't help but be upset when our lessons came to an end. He's in a league of his own. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Fantastic experience: Steve is a good quality instructor/friend that lets you learn your way and asks you where you think you gone wrong not tell you where you have gone wrong which i think is better. He is fun, helpful when you need it and tells you before on the day to remind us when we have a lesson and he understands when you can pay him and how and how many lessons you can have enough He is the best recommendation driving instructor that all i can say
