Fantastic experience: I can’t recommended enough. Brilliant driving instructor! I passed my test today it’s all thanks to Mike. I’ve been learning to drive since 2021 with a big driving school. I had the worst experience in my life. It knocked all my confidence down. I’ve been recommended Highsted Driving School from a another driving school and spoke highly about Mike. But I did not have faith in any driving instructors after my past experience. But thought of taking a lesson with Mike. My God, he was such a lovely, polite, friendly and very patient instructor. I’m a very nervous learner with zero confidence in my driving. But Mike made me feel so relaxed and talked me through every single mistake I made. Also his way of teaching manoeuvres is so great now I can do all of them with confidence which I thought I would never will be able to do in my life. Mike is a very professional, understanding and passionate about driving. He not only just taught me how to drive but he taught me how to be the safest driver possible on the road. I can’t thank you enough Mike. I appreciate all your hours and effort you put towards my lessons to get me where I’m now with my driving today. Thank you so so much

Fantastic experience: Learning how to drive with Highstead driving school was fun and interesting, I was assisted to outgrow my previous bad habits in driving, and helped to develop new ones by an excellent tutor who was committed to making me pass on my first try.

Fantastic experience: Mike is an excellent driving instructor. I struggled with being nervous but his patience and teaching helped me pass my test first time with only two minors. Mike made sure that the majority of our lessons took place in Gillingham (where I had my test) and he ensured I had a good knowledge of the area. Mike never rushed anything, using maps and diagrams to help me understand what he was teaching me. He was also very encouraging when it came to my test, putting me at ease and giving me confidence. I passed, thanks to him. I've tried other instructors and never found one who could teach me as well as Mike. Highly, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I came to Michael after not getting along with my previous instructor. Michael is always on time to lessons. He is very patient with you and happily goes over things with you until you fully understand. I passed first time with him and recommend him 100%.

Fantastic experience: I was such an anxious driver, had years of lessons and multiple driving instructors and Michael really seemed to build up my confidence when driving. He put a lot of thought into lesson plans and clearly relayed instructions. Even when I did make mistakes he was calm and wouldn’t let me end a lesson on a low note. Fantastic experience: Absolutely wonderful instructor! Had Michael for the whole duration of my learning to drive experience and I don’t have a bad word to say about him. I would personally say that his technique and methods of teaching are absolutely perfect and everything you could want as a learner driver. I took my driving practical test today in Herne Bay and was fortunate enough to pass without barely any minors! Stuck to all of his specific tips, and methods that he had taught me over time and I can say that, along with the rest of what I had learnt from got me that certificate at the end of the test. As a learner driver it is extremely common to feel very pressured, scared, and anxious. And not only is Mike a very calm and collected instructor (one of the main things I found very helpful) he is also a kind, friendly, and supportive individual. I find that your experience of learning to drive and who you are taught by, will really make it or break it. I am chuffed with my experience and the outcome, so I would just like to write this review and tell you all that I would 100% recommend highstead driving school. I am very grateful for my experience.

Fantastic experience: I had some refresher lessons with Mike after a long break from driving and he was absolutely fantastic. He fit me in on quite short notice, was very friendly, patient and always fit the lessons around what I felt I needed to practice. I wish I'd had Mike as my instructor when I originally learned to drive, I'm sure I would have passed in half the time haha. Would highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for lessons!
