Fantastic experience: I had 30+ hours of lessons with another instructor but still wasn't ready for my test, struggling in several areas due to anxiety. I have had around 20 hours with Paul and today I passed my test, first time, with only 3 minors. Paul is calm, kind and really made me feel at ease whilst making the lessons super fun! His teaching techniques really worked for me and I began to really enjoy driving. I highly recommend Paul! Thank you again!!

Fantastic experience: Paul is a great teacher and is good at explaining things in a calm and helpful way. He can see if I'm ready to move onto the next task after making sure I've safely learnt the current task. He is patient when I make mistakes which is very important because it helps me stay calm to correct my errors and move on. Fantastic experience: Paul was the best driving instructor I've ever had! He was so patient and made a conscious effort to work out the best way to teach me so that I would find learning to drive easier and less stressful.

Negative experience: My wife Jewel started driving lessons with Paul and to start with everything was going fine and she was happy apart from Paul always finishing lessons 5 to 10 minutes early which is unacceptable as we are paying £35 an hour so I would expect to get a full hour. Then when my wife Jewel booked a 2 hour lesson which has a £5 discount, Paul phones up and says he will only be able to do a 1 hour lesson today as he had an appointment to go to and would have to re schedule the 2nd hour which was fine until the end of my wife’s lesson, when Paul says don’t forget to bring the £5 for your 2nd hour lesson!!! When my wife told me that Paul had asked for this £5 for the 2nd hour after cancelling the 2 hour lesson himself, I said you can not be serious you owe him nothing you are not paying this £5 to Paul. So when my wife has the 2nd hour lesson Paul’s first comment was have you got the £5? My wife’s reply was no Paul my husband says I don’t owe you anything as you cancelled the 2 hour lesson. Paul now proceeded to sulk over this and said to my wife you can’t find automatic driving instructors in Basingstoke easily and then after the lesson my wife was blocked and has had no further lessons with Paul because he seems to want sulk over £5 which he was not owed anyway. I really think the way you have treated my wife over this Paul is disgraceful and it certainly is not the way to run a business, you need to grow up and man up and stop acting like a child over £5 that you were not owed anyway as you cancelled the 2 hour lesson!! I don’t know how you treat your other students but cutting lessons short and then blocking my wife from the app and not giving her any further lessons over £5 is pathetic. I would just beware of Paul after the way he has treated my wife!!!

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend anyone better than Paul for a driving instructor, easy to talk to funny and genuine person, made the art of learning how to drive easy, passing my test today with only 1 fault, thanks Paul.

Negative experience: Paul cancels bookings a lot, and often at the last minute. I've lost quite a few weeks of driving lessons because of this. I feel like I'm reading about a different person when I see all these positive reviews. He is not patient. He tuts and shouts when I make a mistake. Bear in mind I am learning to drive for the first time. He is very distracting as he talks a lot during the lesson. Not what one should expect from a driving instructor at all. Please avoid.

Fantastic experience: Paul is a calm, patient and thorough driving instructor. I am a fairly anxious driver, but with Pauls encouragement and sense of humour I passed my driving test first time today. So glad I chose to learn with Paul.

Fantastic experience: I’m so glad I changed my instructor to Paul, he’s such a good instructor. I 10/10 would recommend just to drive an automatic car to have Paul as your instructor. After bad experiences with my old instructor who I found to get a bit passive aggressive after every mistake, I didn’t think my driving would ever improve or want a professional driving lesson ever again. But Paul was so friendly and easy to talk to, lessons were helpful and he gets straight to the point with teaching and gives great advice. Because of Paul I was able to pass 1st time! Fantastic experience: Paul is a good guy and is a very calming instructor. I had concerns about my ability to drive due to medical issues but Paul was able to help me get past the concerns and even gave advice on possible positives and negatives about driving features in cars.

Fantastic experience: I have had two driving instructor before I met Paul Loader. Paul changed my bad view of instructor. He was patient, encouraging and professional while teaching me. He is more like a family instructor has he taught my Husaband, family friend and now me. I will recommend him because you sure will achieve your aim of leaning to drive in a safe way.

Fantastic experience: I passed my test on 29 Sep 2017. This has been only possible due to the time, effort and patience from Paul. It took long for me to pass as I am not the most natural drivers. But Paul persisted with me and I managed to pass my test. It would not have been possible if Paul was not calm during his lessons and answered even the most stupid questions I had. Negative experience: I would have done a lower score if allowed to as I found this driving school a load of rubbish.i started driving lessons in August 2015 and took about 27 lessons before my test.he kept cancelling on me all the time so I failed my first test.i changed driving instructor and found a huge difference straight away.i passed 2 days ago after having just 6 lessons with new instructor.my advice would be to go somewhere else to learn to drive cos u would just be wasting your money.
