Negative experience: Found Rob to be extremely rude. Went to attend my class 1 training only to be told it had been cancelled after I had driven 3 hours to attend. After hearing nothing but good reviews don’t believe anything you see huge Disappointment and huge inconvenience

Fantastic experience: I went into this not knowing what to fully expect, was gonna go straight from driving a car into an arctic sounds easy but was advised to go for the smaller cat C license and that was the first of many bits of advice that I'm thankful for. I had the pleasure of being trained by Laurie who's straight talking and professional attitude helped me overcome my own nervousness to pass first time. After the first day I was ready to quit but Laurie assured me that i was getting it and to stick with it, and I noticed a steady progression afterwards. From Laurie and Kevin giving their pearls of wisdom, robin and Tony doing my cpc and Debbie sorting out all the payments, it made for a enjoyable experience that ended in me pasisng first time, something I didn't think would happen after Monday. I fully recommend torpedo to anyone as long as they listen to their advice because they know their stuff!!!

Fantastic experience: Couldn't recommend Torpedo enough! The 4 days I had with Laurie and Kev were brilliant! Unfortunately I failed my first test, however Debbie managed to be extremely flexible when it came to my resit. Managed to squeeze me in the following week, gave me an extra 2 hours tuition as I had to use a different vehicle to which I sat my initial test in. Thankyou all, it was a pleasure and I'll be sure to recommend you all in the future.

Negative experience: From the time I arrived and greeted the two instructors I was asked what I was there for. When I said Class 1 they both voiced their disagreement. From there it just deteriorated even further. The bad language and shouting just got worse from the “instructor”. I couldn’t wait to get back after the abuse. I just hope that this review saves someone from loosing a lot of money and their self esteem.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend Torpedo training to anyone who is looking to get their HGV license. The process was made so easy with the fast communication and professionalism from Debbie sorting everything out. (lofty) and Tony were top tier instructors and they got me trained in just 3 days and i passed. Robin did my CPC at torpedo and the whole process was extremely professional.

Fantastic experience: Well what can I say that anyone else has not the whole experience from torpedo training has been excellent from start to finish. Fantastic experience: Passed my class 1 HGV first time with Kevin after finding class 2 a little difficult coming from a car to a big lorry I found it very difficult. However as I was just about to give up on my HGV I had a chat with the team at Torpedo and they suggested changing my class 2 to a class 1 which was the right option for me. Torpedo Training changed my driving test type and I was off in there class 1 ambulance. Also Torpedo Training is in Ivybridge/Plymouth and not Bideford sort it out Google

Fantastic experience: Was made redundant from a previous job, and a friend recommended doing HGV driving. I had no clue where to start and found Torpedo training online. What can I say the company was brilliant from start to finish. Special mention to Debbie in admin that help me with every query I had along the way. Fantastic experience: Robin and the Team took me through my BE training this week and I can't recommend them enough! They were incredibly accommodating and managed to organise both a test and training at very short notice. My instructors (Robin and Tony) were superb - their approach was constructive, supportive, and they quickly and seamlessly adapted to my learning style. I genuinely felt that they worked every minute to make sure I got the most from my time with them. It paid off as well - I got through the test with just two minor faults. These guys really know what they're doing, give them a call.

Fantastic experience: Have just finished all my training for class 2 HGV. I passed everything first time. The quality of instruction I had from Anna in my driver training was exceptional. The communication with Debbi in the office was the same, always willing to help and go the extra mile to get you through as quick as possible. Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend these guys highly enough. I passed my class 1 today and class 2 a month or so back. Both first time. Laurrie played a big part in that with all his knowledge and tips, cheers lofty!!!! I met the other instructors while there, and both Anna and Tony were very friendly. Fantastic experience: Had my class 2 training and cpc mod 4 with them and they sorted my theory and hazard and mod 2 test's just wanted to thank Debbie, Robin and all the team there instructors are lovely. Will definitely recommend them for anyone else who wants to do any training.

Fantastic experience: Passed my C class last week on the 1st attempt after a weeks course. Laurie was a brilliant instructor who tells it as it is. Listen and do exactly what he says and you will pass. All the instructors seem extremely friendly and professional and as such they have an excellent pass rate. Fantastic experience: Well i don't really know where to start here, booked my hgv class 2 for 20th of this month for a 5 day course, the staff on the phone was so helpful and friendly made me want to booked it alone, let alone how much more cheaper it is than everyone else, the introductor I had Anna was just amazing and couldn't fault her one bit, she got me passed first time with only 4 minors. Debbie is super quick at replying to any questions and gives you all the info you will need to get you through your test. 10 out of 10. Fantastic experience: I had no idea where to begin when choosing a trainer for my Cat C. However, I am extremely pleased that I chose Torpedo as I passed first time. Prior to training, I pestered Debbie with numerous emails; she answered all my inquiries fully and promptly. Training was with Laurie, who was firm but fair. I thought I had no chance of passing but he got me through. Torpedo also has an area for practicing reversing which is identical to the layout on the test. Nothing on the test came as a surprise. Extremely satisfied and am grateful to Laurie, Debbie and Robin for getting me through.

Fantastic experience: Passed my test today after a 5 day intensive course. All the staff involved were so helpful, professional, and to the point. I had never driven a lorry before this week, but the training I was given really went above and beyond my expectations, and I cant thank you guys enough. Fantastic experience: Undertook my Driver CPC Module 4 training and test with Torpedo Training and was really pleased! Tony my instructor was brilliant. He was really friendly, thorough and knowledgeable, enabling me to pass with 100% on my test. Robin my examiner was again really friendly and had lots of helpful advice for my future in driving after I had passed. Finally, Debbie who organised the course was amazing, sorting me a date at very short notice (less than a week), as well as always being approachable and going above and beyond to explain anything I wasn't sure of (i.e. the CPC process in general, which isn't and easiest thing to get your head around for a newbie to commercial driving such as myself). I would definitely recommend Torpedo Training to anyone in need of any sort of LGV training!

Fantastic experience: I went to Torpedo training as a friend reccomended them and he was right to do so! Robin, Lorry and Debbie run the business very well and they are all very supportive. I did my class 2 and class 1 with them and i feel lucky to have had Lorry as my instructor! Thumbs UP!

I had 10hrs training and a test for B+E towing licence, all booked and taken care of by Torpedo Training. Excellent tuition from Gerry & Robin saw me pass 1st time...I did shop around for training before booking with Torpedo, they were the cheapest that I found and I was not disappointed with the service I received. Fantastic experience: Fantastic service and Laurie is a brilliant instructor and I had a new name for the week, Lofty! Debbie in the office was really helpful as well. The biggest vehicle I’d driven before was a van and Laurie got me up to speed and I now have my Cat C. Highly recommended and looking forward to my C+E.

Fantastic experience: Went through my cpc module 4 with torpedo and they were brilliant. They made me feel confident in passing my test and now I have the knowledge and full confidence on my vehicle checks and procedures. Really helpful and the examiner had a calm and reassuring manor which helped me keep calm when being tested

Fantastic experience: I have to recommend Torpedo. Superb. I telephoned Debbie needing urgent Class 1 refresher training towards the end of 2017. Despite how busy they were with bookings Debbie managed to jig things around to accommodate me. I was sat in the cab two days later with 'Lofty'(!) who tailored the training to what I wanted to focus on. A few days after this I sailed through my driving assessment . Debbie was really on the ball with her organisation and customer service. Thank you Torpedo!!!! Apologies for the late review!

Fantastic experience: Laurie,Debbie and robin were all really down to earth and customer service was great from start to finish. I had to change my training and test date due to unpredictable work commitments and Debbie bent over backwards to accommodate this. Felt very at ease through the whole experience and would have no hesitation in recommending them. Passed my hgv test with only 1 minor , Laurie is easy to get on with and a great instructor .
