Fantastic experience: Clinton Pearce is an excellent driving instructor. He was always prompt with timing and would always be flexible with his schedule making sure I would get enough hours of experience before my test. He’s a very kind man who made me feel at ease in every lesson. I highly recommend Clinton and Calm for any new drivers looking for a patient and thoughtful instructor.

The Instructor I had, Claire, to me is a true embodiment of the motto of the campany: calm, caring, professional and confident. Even alongside me, the most nervous of drivers. Fantastic experience: Best driving school in Bournemouth and Poole area. I couldn't able to find an instructor for months, reached out to more than 25 instructors before finding Calm Driving school. They managed to accommodate me within couple of weeks. Pricing was nominal compared to other instructors who were taking advantage of the demand.. They have their own driving app to book driving classes, to communicate, to check our progression, etc. Properly maintained. Fiona was my driving instructor, I would say she is the best, gives us with lot of information, trains us properly, encourages and motivates us a lot.. proper guidance and helped with my driving exam.

Fantastic experience: Sally at Calm Driving School is the most wonderful teacher - she really is calm, even alongside the most nervous of drivers. I recently passed my test first time following Sally's tuition and I couldn't be more grateful! The app used by Calm is brilliant and really helps you to understand which areas you need to focus on before your test. I'd recommend Sally (and automatic driving) to any learner driver, particularly if you have felt almost too anxious persevere with other driving schools. Huge thanks!

After having one lesson with very unprofessional person, who didn't really teach me anything (not even the basics) I have decided to find someone i will feel safe and confident with, even if this ment waiting a bit longer, I was ready to put my name on the waiting list. I am so very lucky to have find Calm Driving! After speaking to Dave i could start my driving experience the following week. Dave, i would like to say a massive thank you for allocating me such a brilliant instructor- Ashley. I seriously couldn't ask for a better person to teach me. I am looking forward to every lesson with him. He makes me feel comfortable and at ease while getting me out of my comfort zone (which we agreed to do so from the beginning) and still making it fun and safe.

They are niether very optimistic nor very pessimistic but realistic and motivating and great assesors.. highly recommended even if you have to come all the way to Poole like I did. Very practical and reliable cars as well!

Fantastic experience: I was by no means a "spring chicken" when I learnt to drive. Calm driving provided me with optimal learning conditions including reducing feelings of stress and anxiety. Despite thinking I would never have the confidence to drive - I passed my driving test.

Fantastic experience: Passed my automatic driving test with Calm 4 months ago. Sally my driving instructor made me feel completely at ease from the moment I got in the car, she is friendly and professional and I always looked forward to my lessons. On the day of my test thanks to Sally I felt ready and not nervous this was due to having a great instructor, I would recommend Calm Driving school to anyone and especially Sally.

Fantastic experience: I was 35 with 2 young children when I came here after a 10 year break from lessons (with a different company) I have never been a natural driver, and even the thought of driving filled me with nerves. My husband looked on the internet for a company that specialised in nervous drivers and came across 'Calm Driving'. I phoned up, intending to pay extra for lessons in an automatic car, but was convinced to try manual first. I took David's advice and went for the manual option. John, my instructor was amazing. He was so calm and patient, and never lost his temper with me. I would definitely recommend the company as I was severely lacking in confidence. If John hadn't been so positive and reassuring I would have probably given up for a second time. I perservered and passed my practical exam in March.

He’s very knowledgable about what it takes for you to pass your test, whether as a learner or as a trainee instructor. Fantastic experience: Passed first time and had a great experience all round.

Negative experience: My instructor was Ollie King. He was good when he turned up but out of 7 lessons he didn’t turn up twice, was late twice and rescheduled lessons twice. He then didn’t ring me on 3 occasions. I was 3 weeks away from my test and couldn’t change instructors because the other 3 manual instructors were all away on holiday so I had to cancel my driving test and resit my theory test before I could rebook it. I'd expected David Musk to want to make sure I didn't lose financially but he said there was no way in hell he'd pay me any compensation before grudgingly offering to cover the theory test fee. By then, the situation was so unpleasant that I asked for my money back and found a different driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: Debbie is an amazing driving instructor. She made each lesson something to look forward to and allows you to develop and learn in your own way while always offering expert advice and guidance. I am going to miss our adventures on the road. I am extremely glad that I found Calm Driving and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an exemplary first time driving experience.

Debbie made me feel relaxed and put no pressure on, I didn't once feel like they were just after my money, after having some bad experiences with a couple of instructors in the past. Which had put me off for a few years. I passed first time after only about 10 hours or so. Can't recommend them highly enough.
