Fantastic experience: I had my lessons with Steve and honestly he is just amazing, I had a trial class with another instructor before Steve and I can tell there is just a huge difference, Steve is patient and simple the best instructor ever. Steve made sure he explained everything to me and really prepared me not just for the test but for my entire driving. I was nervous on my test day and Steve reassured me and I passed my test. He is simply amazing and I'll definitely recommend Steve to anyone who wants to pass their driving test with ease.

Fantastic experience: Passed first time with Steve after a great learning experience. I achieved more in my first lesson than I did in 3 months with my previous instructor. Fantastic experience: I started my first lesson with steve in November 2021, in total I had 30+ hours. Steve’s been absolutely amazing, he’s helped me when ever I lost confidence, when I needed reassurance, helped me when I struggled to get the hang of things and was very patient . I passed my test today on the 1st Attempt and this was all due to the help and support, I will definitely be recommending him to anybody. Once again thank you for everything you have done.

Fantastic experience: Steve helped my daughter & my son pass their tests. He stepped in when my daughter had been let down badly by two other instructors - he was always calm, helpful and supportive as she struggled with anxiety. Then, with Steve as his instructor from day one, my son passed his test on the first attempt which is no mean feat for a boy with ADHD who finds it hard to focus. Thank you very much indeed Steve! :-D

Fantastic experience: Firstly I want to say even if I hadn’t past my test first time , I would still be writing this review. Bell Driving school sets the standard on all aspects of what an instructor should be, having pretty much paid the awful last driving instructor I had to bully and belittle me whilst driving, I d met Steve lacking any confidence, slight anxiety with no real vision of ever being able to pass a test. Initial contact was professional and put me at immediate ease, I was given more encouragement on my first lesson than I had received in months of my previous instructor. ( it’s the little things ) car was always clean , and he was always on time ,never cancelled a lesson, was patient when I did make mistakes and peppered the lessons with light humour without losing focus on the job. I couldn’t recommend Bell Driving more. Listened to my anxiety’s and horrendous past instructor stories without passing judgment. … I was almost looking forward to our lessons that’s how good he is . I passed with a few minors that was purely fuelled by exam nerves . Steve could not have done more to prepare me for my test if he had tried , manoeuvres , show me tell me was drummed in to a point of perfection. I can’t thank you enough, would highly recommend this company to all levels of learner drivers.

Fantastic experience: Would 100% recommend to anyone and everyone looking for a driving instructor! After years of putting off driving I chose Steve and I’m so glad I found him. From lesson 1 he made me feel calm and confident behind the wheel. I’m gutted that I won’t be having my weekly lessons with Steve anymore but over the moon that I passed my test first time, I couldn’t of done it without him!

Fantastic experience: I was taught by Lee and cannot recommend him enough. He's very thorough, the right level of 'strict' and always professional. I realise latterly that he was not merely teaching to get students through the test, but to work to ensure you are a competent driver when then out alone. Always punctual and pushing to progress you. Book him.

Fantastic experience: I recently passed thanks to the brilliant Kevin, not only was he a fantastic teacher, he was also great company. I really enjoyed our weekly drives, and the chats that accompanied them. Aside from the chats, Kevin's teaching method really worked for me, his use of language to help cut through the mental overload that is early stages learning to drive, to get the point across, was spot on and highly effective. Kevin is a great teacher, and I'd highly recommend him.

Negative experience: Had a driving lesson with Kevin in Stevenage, he was rude, impatient and got angry if you made a mistake. He did nothing to calm my nerves; in fact he makes you panic further by shouting. He had a cigarette break in the middle of my lesson, despite the fact I told him that I had asthma. Would not recommend, not a very understanding guy at all. Edit: Actually I'm not the one whose mistaken; you wouldn't reply to my email complaint, so here we are. Kevin is the type of guy to ask you your ethnicity before your name, nasty piece of work. And I wouldn't believe the 5 star reviews, I can't speak for the other instructors but, Kevin pressures 17 year old's into posting them. I regret paying him at all.

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test on my first attempt !! Full credit goes to Steve ONLY and he has been a fantastic instructor most importantly an excellent human being. He will make you feel at ease and is never strict IF you make genuine mistakes for E.g He knew how much I love snow and how it distracted me while I was driving, I made silly mistakes :p but he knew the reason and didn’t pose his anger on me. His teaching skills are different and his nature adds up to it for E.g he taught me the difficult routes during the last few days of my test in order to not repeat those mistakes which I found was extremely helpful. I only required 17 classes before I took my test ( I know I’m good :p ) and that shows how good he teaches. If he thinks your ready then he will definitely encourage you to book the test and like other driving instructors he doesn’t tell you to do more lessons to make more money. I think I have said enough about Steve and now it’s time to say something about me so I think my hardwork too counts :p I would recommend Steve and if you give your 100% the you have high chances of passing !! Excellent instructor ( Steve ) + your 100% hardwork = PASS !! Once again thank you so much Steve. I have already recommended you to my colleagues and friends. Keep up the good job !! Best Wishes !!

Fantastic experience: I passed first time with Steve as my Instructor and would recommend him to anyone. He makes you feel very comfortable from the first lesson and made the whole experience a lot easier. Parallel parking seemed so confusing to me but the way he explains it and teaches you to do it makes it seem so simple, thanks for your help Steve.

Fantastic experience: Steve is an excellent instructor. He teaches manoeuvres and techniques that assist with parking and reversing the car. I found his teaching style to be direct and pragmatic. (essential attributes when undertaking lessons on busy roads with big roundabouts.) I would have no hesitation in recommending him. I believe that Steve's encouragement together with his commitment to teaching others was the key to my passing first time .
