Fantastic experience: Paul is honestly such an amazing instructor. I’m a bit of a ditsy person and sometimes overthink things when am doing them which can lead to me making mistakes but Paul always explained everything calmly, explained best way of doing things and was so patient. He also accommodated well for last min changes due to my uni schedule which I thought was great. Passed my theory first time and my practical first time both with Paul’s help. Thank you so much!!!! Will miss you telling me to stop rushing around corners

Negative experience: If I could give a no star I would. My experience with Shaw Driving School was absolutely appalling. During both of the lessons I had with him, he was constantly distracted and on his phone, barely paying attention. It was clear he had no interest in actually teaching, and his lack of professionalism made me feel unsafe and unsupported. On top of that, there was an entire month between the two lessons due to his poor scheduling. When I decided enough was enough and asked for a refund, things got even worse. He slapped me with a £70 “admin fee” that was never mentioned in the terms and conditions—it felt like he was just making it up to avoid giving me my money back. To top it off, when it came time to collect the refund, he acted incredibly shady over text and insisted I meet him in an Asda car park. He even put me on a strict 10-minute timer, threatening to leave if I wasn’t there on time. The whole situation was unprofessional and downright unsettling. This instructor lacks both professionalism and basic decency. I strongly urge anyone looking for driving lessons to steer clear of Shaw Driving School with Paul

Fantastic experience: I finally passed. My chronic anxiety makes tests very hard. But with a kick up the back side and a no nonsense approach from Paul I did it. He helped me to learn from and then move past any mistakes and focus on what was ahead. I needed to get out of my own way. Stop overthinking and get it done. So thanks so much to you Paul.

Fantastic experience: Anyone looking to learn how to drive a manual car should look no further. I passed my test on the FIRST ATTEMPT, yes you read this right, my very first attempt. He is dedicated to his job and very disciplined. No time wasting. He is straightforward and blunt. No sugar coating your mistakes while practicing but I tell you, I prefered his methods and teachings a 100 times over than failing my test as driving is serious business, talk less of the wait time and money it will cost to book another test.. I passed with "NO MINORS". A PERFECT RESULT.. My examiner was so impressed he congratulated my instructor for a job well done. Unlike some time wasting instructors who just want to make money. He is worth your money and time 100%. A great way to start the year for me.

Fantastic experience: Excellent instruction received from Paul. Very patient with me when getting to grips with driving and allowed me to go at my own pace. He was more than happy to help me with anything I thought I needed to brush up on as well as offering useful advice in areas he noticed I might get caught out with on a test. Fairly priced and always responsive, wouldn't have passed without his help. Cheers.

Negative experience: I used him in October being recommended by a reviewer on this website. He is very rude, cuts the phone off, and does not make the students feel comfortable. Very unprofessional. Would not give 1 star even, if I could.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t even give one star for this arrogant nasty excuse of a man who calls himself a driving instructor! I am absolutely fuming at the way he spoke down to my daughter on her driving lessons! She is a bright and confident girl but this horrible man has ruined her confidence! Disgusting! She told me some of the things he said to her and I was absolutely gobsmacked at the arrogance of this man! The previous review about how badly he treated their daughter was correct as he has done the same to my daughter! I will be making a formal complaint to the correct officials as this man should not be allowed to make teenage women feel so belittled!! Edit: In reference to your reply Paul the review from Mohammed is the true reflection of how you treat teenage girls and no Chloe was NOT doing well in her lessons as you repeatedly told her so with your constant criticism of her driving, no patience and arrogant attitude with her !

Fantastic experience: I can't even put into words how brilliant Paul has been as my driving instructor. I started with him way before lockdown . He never gave up on me and always told me to never give up . He would be patient and always told me to take my time no matter what .He always made me feel at ease while on the road .Thank you again Paul for helping my pass my driving test. Take care !

Negative experience: I would not recommend him, he was a very rude instructor and not good with time management. My daughter was nervous about her first lesson and she was panicking so he said to her that he can't help her with that and she should help herself, this isn't right as an instructor should reassure someone and make sure they feel confident before driving which he did not do. My daughter would tell him not to book a lesson until she told him that she was free as she had exams so he booked her in for a lesson without asking her and made false statements saying she booked it in which confused her and me. He booked her in for a lesson and on the day he did not arrive so my daughter rang up and he said he did not book her in and that he had another student but it clearly said in his diary and on my daughter's messages that it was her time to drive and then proceed to say it was a typo, not very organised and was rude on the phone to my daughter and cut the line off.

Fantastic experience: Had all of my lessons with Paul and it was brilliant was extremely nervous on my first few (as anyone would be) but he made me feel calm and confident. I was using my clutch wrong at first and as soon as he told me to change it, I drove so much better. I listened to him and PASSED FIRST TIME !! I would 100% recommend Shaw driving school and a great and affordable price !

Fantastic experience: I can honestly say Paul is a great driving instructor who is very reasonably priced and very knowledgeable in what he does. His teaching method is very methodical and he has the patience of a saint. I have recommended Paul to family and friends and have never had a problem with him. he keeps in touch via text message and on the odd occasion he has arrived late ( traffic permitting) he fulfills the obligation of completing the hour. HIGHly recommended
