Fantastic experience: Can’t thank Dave Kay enough for helping me pass my driving test on my first attempt. I really enjoyed my time learning with him, he was very patient with me and thoroughly explained everything for me. Would highly recommend for anyone learning to drive.

Fantastic experience: Really pleased to have had Ahmed as my driving instructor! I was nervous and clearly not a natural driver when I started, but he was a calming presence and went through each aspect of driving thoroughly so that I felt like passing was achievable. Ahmed built on my confidence and skills, resulting in me passing first time! 1000% would recommend!!

He went above and beyond to work with me on all aspects of driving and also scheduling, delivering enjoyable lessons throughout my time with him. I was so nervous and dreaded driving before I started lessons with him, but Ahmed brought such a calming energy to our lessons and I now I love driving! I honestly feel so lucky and greatful to have had him as my instructor! I would 100% recommend him as an instructor.

Fantastic experience: I passed first time with zero faults, after learning with Ahmed. I couldn’t recommend his teaching enough, calm and clear throughout. His teaching doesn’t just teach you to pass the test, but to be a confident and competent driver for life.

Negative experience: Does this business even exist? I think I ‘joined the waiting list’ in spring or summer 2023. It’s autumn 2024 now. You’d think I’d have got a call or email from em by now.

Fantastic experience: I had my lessons with Dave from York, he was very helpful and understanding. He remained very calm even when I made some errors and took time to explain things to me in a way that was easy to understand. I would highly recommend him as an instructor.

Fantastic experience: Dave was a brilliant driving teacher. Even though I was nervous to start driving, he soon made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. He moulded my lessons around my weaknesses, making sure that I made consistent progress. He was on time and consistent with lessons, often being able to accommodate my limited availability on short notice. I didn’t feel rushed to pass my test, I feel he has not only taught me to pass my test but taught me how to be a safe driver and navigate difficult situations on the roads I will encounter in day to day driving. Thank you Dave!!

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with Dave, took me a while to learn how to drive since I’m a slow learner, and Dave stuck by me, even when I was forgetting lessons. I made some great memories and finally getting that pass makes it all worth it. I’ve learnt some valuable lessons in driving and in life, and Dave is a funny guy. Fantastic experience: I owe all my driving success to Dave he has completely transformed driving for me. Before coming to him I was an extremely nervous driver and I never felt in control and this stopped me from learning for a couple of years. I had two previous instructors before who had never managed to make me feel capable of being a confident and safe driver. Dave has a lot of patience and has always made me feel very comfortable and safe. He is very funny too and I have always looked forward to weekly lessons and i felt confident going into my test. He will always prioritise your safety and wants nothing more than to see you succeed as a driver. I would highly recommend him !

Fantastic experience: i was learning to drive with dave for around a year and passed my test with only two driving faults, he was patient when teaching and flexible with lessons when i had things like exams. everything i was taught didnt just help me pass my test but also when i’m driving independently

Carl is always relaxed and positive. After starting lessons with him I picked everything up super quick. He is brilliant at explaining things and getting your driving to a brilliant standard. I can honestly say that without the expertise and patience of David Kay, I could not have passed my driving test first time. I have struggled with confidence behind the wheel, but Dave Kay has been nothing but patient with me, and did everything he could to help me overcome this, through recommending different techniques to manage it and going over any concerns I had. Fantastic experience: I was extremely nervous to start my driving, I started with Dave in January and we had 2 hour lessons every week, Dave did amazingly at keeping me calm, talking me through everything thoroughly, teaching me everything I needed to know etc. As my test date was approaching I was becoming nervous again and Dave really helped me prepare and to settle those nerves! I passed my test first time! I wasn’t confident in myself that I would pass but Dave had that confidence for me and really helped, I wouldn’t have been able to do it without him! I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I passed my test yesterday at the first attempt, something I never thought I'd be able to do. I had Carl as my instructor, and I would definitely recommend him. He's really good at explaining everything in an easy to understand way, but also gets you to do things for yourself through total and error, and think about why you do things, not just telling you what to do. I found his way of teaching really good at giving me the confidence to drive independently, as his sole focus is to teach you how to drive well and be confident in yourself, not just how to pass the test. Massive thank you is due to both Carl and Xpert Driver Training! 100% recommendation!

Fantastic experience: I have recently passed with Carl Elsby. Would thoroughly recommend learning with Xpert driving. Have learnt so much over every lesson and Carl has made driving a challenge but fun. No matter what stage of driving you are at. Fantastic experience: Passed my test last week with xpert driver training- Carl Elsby was my instructor. I came to Carl as my friend had lessons with Carl. Carl is very relaxed and made lessons fun and enjoyble. He allowed me to think for myself and fiqure problems out myself. I was given the freedom to decide lesson topics so i could work on my weaknesses. Carl teaches you to drive safe rather than just test stuff, which meant on lessons we went to differnt places not just around York.
