Fantastic experience: A fantastic 2.5 days with the superb team at Wetherby Training, leading to a class one (C+E) first time pass. The high quality instruction from Rob, and support from Paul on test day, has all been genuinely commendable and the whole team seemed to be excellent, and pulling in the same direction. This is a highly recommended training provider!

Fantastic experience: I did my fork lift truck earlier this year in may and to be honest i was a but nervous of the theory exam . But Tim the instructor was very helpful and supportive throughout the course. Laurie Moore is a really decent nice man and very good at what he does. And he trained me whilst i as doing my reach truck test to. If you want to do training then look no further than this company as there brilliant and very good at the training they do.

Fantastic experience: I’ve just passed my C1 license today after working with Paul for the past 2 days. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor, he was extremely calm, friendly and a great teacher. I was so nervous before my test but he completely made me feel at ease! Everyone I have been in contact with at Wetherby training has been so welcoming and friendly. Laurie managed to get me booked in so quickly and his communication via email was quick and prompt. Update. . . I booked a driving refresher day before starting my first Class 1 HGV driving job. My instructor for the day was Paul, and he was brilliant. Well worth the extra practice day to boost the confidence!

Negative experience: Absolutely waste of money and time. Laurie sells fake promises that he doesn’t keep. Came a long way to do his course and had taken a deposit. Upon arrival started requesting more money then we had agreed and pushed dates 4 months ahead then promised. KEEP AWAY!!

Fantastic experience: So what can I say, I'd like to thank Laurie and Jeff M @ Wetherby Training for their time and giving me the opertunity to do my C1+E. I'd never driven anything like it on the road and managed to pass within 1 and half days of being behind the wheel! The lads at wetherby training are second to non, I could not reccomend wetherby training enough, and what they do for you, it doesn't come across like a business, they've offered endless help and actually have a personal interest in your success! I initially went for my C2 but they reccomended and accomodated to the fact i should just do my C1+E, and they made that happen! Thanks everyone there!

When I was going wrong, he worked on my mistakes and drilled the correct way of doing things into me but without losing his temper and made me feel at ease and confident all the way through from start to finish! It was an amazing experience and all the guys I met at Wetherby training were all great people! Thank you so much! You are all true professionals! Fantastic experience: Having just passed my test I would highly recommend Wetherby Training to anyone wanting to gain their HGV license. They are a friendly and helpful bunch who helped me every step of the way. After four days of training I felt ready and confident for the test. Fantastic experience: Attended a refresher lesson with Jeff M. Just wanted to say, he's a brilliant instructor, really put me at ease and he helped me get my confidence back after not driving a truck in about 8 years. In this world, there's plenty of people who are knowledgeable, but it doesn't mean they are able to convey that knowledge effectively. Being a good teacher is a skill in itself. I was 40 mind late from having to change a flat tire on my car that morning, and I thought I would have less time because of this, but he also made sure I got the full time I had paid for, staying later for me (not everyone would've done this). We went through road driving, trailer coupling and reversing maneuvers on the nearby airfield and I thoroughly enjoyed the day, coming away feeling very confident in my ability to work with a C+E vehicle safely and professionally. I would highly recommend this school, it is more expensive than some be cheaper than others, be confident that it is money well spent. Their vehicles are also in excellent condition. They also respond to enquiries in good time. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: To start the lads at this place made me feel welcomed from day 1 great bunch of people. My instructor was my man Jeff M, what a top notch lad had a great laugh with him but most important he taught me the skills I needed to progress my career. The lessons were top quality and professional which helped me progress from having zero confidence driving a hgv to passing my test with minimal errors and feeling confident driving unsupervised. So again thanks to Jeff, Jeff, Rob and Tim for all the support and for making me feel welcomed (sorry if I got any names wrong) For anyone reading this review I had to travel over a hour to get here and I do it all again.

Fantastic experience: After phoning around for a few weeks, I chose to book with Laurie and Wetherby training. Laurie is very knowledgeable and was able to advise me how to go about booking the whole process from applying for the license to practical c+e test. He spent a long time chatting to me before I had booked. Great experience, throughly enjoyed my whole course with Jeff M and meeting the other trainers and learners, I think I have made friends for life and will be back to freshen up when needed! Negative experience: Good set of instructors who got me through my test but organisationally it’s all over the place. I couldn’t get my MOD 4 completed when I did my driving because their instructor was off poorly, which is understandable and they told me I could come back one Saturday to complete. They then told me that Saturdays weren’t an option, so I took time off work and booked in on a Friday afternoon. I received no correspondence (other than an email that couldn’t be opened, this is a theme) and arrived at the time stated. I was not told to bring my case study pass with me and was then informed I couldn’t do my MOD 4 without proof of the pass, even though I’d provided it when I did my driving. The instructions informed me that if I could get it emailed over then that would be acceptable, which I did. We then discovered that the printer in their office doesn’t actually work and he needed a physical copy in his hand. I took an afternoon off work, it was over a 2 hour round trip and I’m no closer to being able to drive LGVs than I was at the beginning of March when I took my test.

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend these guys absolutely top class, Jeff B was my trainer and managed to get me thru my class 1 test with only 3 faults couldn’t recommend them enough

Fantastic experience: Passed with these guys a couple of weeks ago for the arctic, literally everyone that was there when i was there passed and ive been checking weekly on facebook and there passrate is really good, they are the best around for class 1 training, the best bit is they have an airfield so there is ample of room to do the reversing , uncoupling and coupling up in a really relaxed way with no pressure, the routes for the test centre are nice and easy as well and the vehicles are newer vehicles so theyre easier to drive with them being all automatic and hillstart to go with it, all those bits with there training will deffo guarantee you a pass, theyre good, many thanks to Laurie for sorting it all out for me and to Rob my instructor for making it a doddle for me to pass.
