Fantastic experience: I passed my test first time, which is a testament to Peter’s excellent teaching skills. I'm a very visual learner, and he was brilliant at using acronyms, metaphors, and other visual aids that made complex concepts so much easier to grasp and remember. I was also learning while pregnant, and he was very understanding and considerate throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Peter to anyone seeking a patient, knowledgeable, and highly effective driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: Peter is a calm and thorough instructor who helped guide me through all the manoeuvres with informative little tricks, finally after a year of lessons I passed on the second test after being nervous on the first test, peter helped me with my nerves resulting in a pass.

Negative experience: No passion for work , all cares about money , so discouraging, suddenly at last lesson told me I am not ready for my final test , I was almost about to accept that I am not gonna pass , I however passed with first attempt successfully. It’s so hard to find good genuine instructor but that’s definitely not Peter. Would not recommend him at all.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant driving instructor, passed my test first time with 3 minors despite initially being a very anxious and nervous driver. After been told by other instructors that I should quit, I went to Peter. He reassured me and had patience, and made sure that I felt ready and confident for the test. Fantastic experience: 100% recommend Peter if it wasn't for him I wouldn't of had the confidence to pass my driving test, he builds up your confidence were ever your in doubt, he always make you feel relaxed when your driving or if you feel scared when coming to a difficult situation,I did my 1st test at pontefract that was a very stressful place so I decied to take my 2nd test at walton boston spa so much easier less stress and its also a beautiful place but it also builds up your confidence on high speed roads, motorways and different speed conditions, I had peter with me on both my driving tests I just found it helped alot with the nervous as it just felt like you was doing a normal driving lesson and not a test. Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Peter , he was just what I needed when learning to drive as a very nervous mature learner . He was patient , professional and very informative. Peter had a great way of explaining things and had a way of making me feel at ease even though I suffered a lot with nerves and had a tendency to get myself really wound up , because of Peter I passed my test first time which I never imagined I would .

Fantastic experience: Don’t think I could have asked for a better driving instructor to help me learn to drive! Peter was patient, informative, understood me well and helped me to not get bogged down in mistakes I’d made in the lesson but to just keep going. He kept regular logs on my progress via a very useful and regularly updated app, which were great when setting new targets. He was honest and really gave me the confidence I needed when the test day came. He made learning to drive enjoyable and did so much for me, through which I was able to pass first time! Thankyou Peter, I’ll miss our talks (and the sweets) and you’ll have to let me know if you end up getting a dog!

Fantastic experience: I never drive before the lessons but I just passed my first driving test within three months, thank you Peter, brilliant and professional instructor. Although I am not good in English but Peter using different methods such as drawing and animation to show me the driving technique and the concept behind. Lessons were managed really well and Peter let me felt the improvement of driving in every lesson and building my confidence up for the driving test. Thanks Peter for the last 3 additional lessons before the driving test, it really helped me loads for the test and i did it! Highly recommended!!

I needed confidence to drive in the UK on the right side and didn’t realised how much a needed to learn to drive safely. I was worried about the language barrier but Peter was very patient and clear. He taught me in a way that I understood and put me at ease as soon as I got in the car. As a 30 year old learner driver, I wanted to find an instructor who was professional, organised and not patronising - and I'm so glad I found Smart Driver Academy! He is super patient, listens to what you're struggling with and tailors lessons very well. Fantastic experience: After using a different driving instructor previously and not having the best learning experience, I can honestly say I am so pleased I found Peter from Smart Driver Academy. From my very first lesson with him I could tell he was super professional and extremely committed to getting me passed as soon as he could. Peter is very calm, extremely patient and will always come up with a tool or technique for getting something to stick. There isn't anything negative I could say about learning to drive with Peter. Peter is simply the best driver instructor to learn to drive with, he has got a lot of experience and is not just any instructor, he has got a ton of knowledge and will adapt to you so that you can learn to drive in the best way. Fantastic experience: I’ve previously been driving in America and had a long break due to covid. Peter was very patient and explained things thoroughly which made me feel at ease for my test and I passed with 2 faults! I definitely recommend, great communication and very pleased overall!

Fantastic experience: Peter took me on at Very last minute before my driving test as I was let down by a driving course provider. He is a great teacher, not only explaining how to do things but why which helps a lot. I have been trying to pass my test on and off for 14 years and only since he taught be to parallel park have I been able to do it. Definitely worth the money.

Fantastic experience: After trying 2 other DI's I seen a sign for Smart Driver Academy and I knew after my 1st lesson he was going to be the one who would get me passed ! Peter is an absolutely lovely person but more than anything he has been a dream to be taught by always giving the best level of teaching. Even though it took over a year and half (due to covid) I passed the first time and im over the moon. Would highly recomend everyone to use him if you want to get out on the road! I passed it on 1st attempt and I still remember how happy I was that day :D Peter is the best instructor ever with a lot of patience. He explains very well and give very useful tips. Fantastic experience: I had just about given up hope of passing my driving test (I won't tell you how many fails) but I was recommended Smart Driver Academy by a few people and thought, worth a shot. Peter was incredibly patient, professional and instilled (much lacking) confidence in my driving abilities. Fantastic experience: I started driving lessons the day of my 17th birthday and was extremely nervous! Peter recognised this and somehow very quickly put me at ease and in a good frame of mind to learn. Driving didn’t come natural to me and I needed a lot of support and patience – that is just what I got! Peter was great at identifying the areas that I needed more work on and he would patiently focus on them improving my skills and confidence gradually and at a pace that suited me. He invests in tools & technology to help you too – I found an on-board camera that I could plug a memory stick in and review in my own time really useful. It was great to see (and learn from)from the outside looking in. I was able to buy and book my lessons in advance which meant a saving but Peter was flexible when needed, recognising things pop up in life. I have now been passed for 2 years and feel I was given the tools to be a confident and safe driver – it wasn’t just about getting that pass certificate. Thank you Peter.

Fantastic experience: Peter was my 3rd driving instructor. I knew from our first lesson this is who I would be passing my test with. I had previous bad experiences with other instructors who added further anxiety to my driving. Peter helped to build my confidence and ability greatly, ending in passing my test the first time with only 6 minors. I had particular struggles such as my dyslexia that Peter adapted to very well to helping me. Always staying patient and very calm even in the most testing conditions. Ultimately instilling a large sense of safe and competent driving that I will hold for the rest of my life. If your looking for some patient, thorough and understanding to your needs then you will be a great fit.
