Fantastic experience: I did my class 2 HGV with TTC. My main training was with Launa (sorry if i spelt that wrong). She taught me to drive a ridged body truck and I showed her how I could trim hedges with wing mirrors and drive too fast over speed ramps. I found the training flawless and Launa got me to drive down types of roads and junctions that I will be using when I find a HGV job, rather than keeping me on giant lanes with no traffic or hazards etc.There is no pampered poodle approach at TTC. If you screw up (and we all do) they will tell you and teach you not to do it again in a friendly manner. The training is very clear, precise, fun and worth every penny. As a result of Launa's training I passed my class 2 first time and ive also come away with a lot of good advice and tips from the whole team at TTC. I will return to do my class 1 after I have a year or so experience under my belt. Ive noticed a few poor reviews on Google and I have to say that if TTC recommends you do or don't drive a certain class of vehicle it is because they know what they are talking about and they are the ones with the "YEARS" of experience and not us. As for being "rude" or shouting, Ive spent enough time around the whole team and not once was I ever shouted at or made to feel stupid. You have to remember that you are looking to drive a boulder on wheels that takes time to stop compared to a car, and can potentially kill someone. so you need proper training regardless of how long it takes or what it costs. for anyone who goes to TTC for advice take the time to listen to their advice and try to resist penny pinching because your training is an investment in your career not a weekend at Butlins.

Fantastic experience: Just done my Artic licence with these guys and been very professional but also patient and making sure you are learning and getting the best out of your ability. I did my first assessment for an hour with Dan to see what training I would need then I did 2 days in rigid with Lorna and 5 days in artic with Dan and came away with a pass. With something so important as driving and licensing don’t cut corners and go for whoever is doing a special offer just go for quality training providers and these guys are fantastic and recommended to a friend who got screwed over by a dodgy training provider in Taunton who again was “cheap” but time you added all the extras and now a re test because training was of any real quality it wasn’t cheaper. Now she’s coming to do do her C1 with these guys. Honestly couldn’t recommend these guys enough if I had to do it all again I’d still choose these guys Thanks Team ❤️

Fantastic experience: Big thanks to Andy 1 for getting me through my CE. I'd failed at another school (not to the fault of the instructors), but Andy got me back up to speed and led me to a pass! Learned lots of great tips, and always had a laugh along the way, great instructor, and a shout to everyone at the centre, they all know what they're doing, and all very friendly. Go to them direct, and save yourself from the hassle of a broker, like I should've first time

Fantastic experience: Juat passed my C1 test with them. I turned up with very little experience driving with a manual gearbox. Over the 3 days training Andy brought me up to speed, giving valuable feedback and instruction. I felt at ease in the office and on the road, all round enjoyable experience. When it came to test day all the advice payed off and I passed. Would recommend this company if you are looking to upgrade your license and driving skills.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Taunton Training Centre coming from driving a car to driving a class 1 vehicle was a big jump in such a short space of time. Fantastic experience: After failing with other schools in Exeter and Cornwall I was recommended to Taunton Training Centre by another student who passed first time with them. Teaching by ‘Andy 2’ was superb and although he nagged me about all my stupid driving faults and bad habits I found him to be a totally nice bloke and certainly a brilliant teacher. The nagging obviously worked because I performed a brilliant drive when it came to test day. Mega chuffed with my shiny new Class 1 licence. Thank you to all the team especially Andy 2 for getting those bad habits out of my driving!! Could not have done it without you mate. Cheers!

Fantastic experience: Undertook CE Training. The instructor Andy 1 (there are 2 Andys) was thoroughly professional and very interesting having worked in the industry for many years. I had several bad habits which he pointed out along with encouragement to do better. He could be blunt but it is meant to help you do better and not personal. The company get you to do an assessment to see how many hours training you might need- believe them if they say you need 2 weeks, they are the professionals. I passed with flying colours after 5 days so many thanks to all concerned and especially Andy.

Negative experience: Very poor service. Mr Colin Hoyle, Director Taunton Training Ltd., insisted on a 'Driving Assessment' before any training, and shouted every fault at me for an hour, negotiating single lanes, dual-carriageways, back streets and side streets in my first time in a 19 ton lorry. After this, surprise, surprise, he gave a quote for an additional THREE days training above the original quote, at £250/day (Total £750 more!) Nice set up! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Everyone there was friendly and welcoming, and most importantly professional. Passed my D licence - thank you Andy! We will definitely be sending more trainees there.

Fantastic experience: Extremely friendly and helpful. They helped me to achieve my goal of passing my PSV test as quickly as possible. They arranged training around my schedule and were very flexible. Colin even arranged extra sessions at very short notice. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Very rude and abrupt. I asked about doing my class 1 due to license changes . But was told they would not teach me unless I went class 2 first and their instructors wouldn't like someone jumping straight into a class 1. I stated that the rules have changed and was told tuff. Rang other hgv training centres and was told its not the 1st time they have heard it about taunton training. And it's likely so they can make more money. Would highly stress not to use unless you like being mugge off

From my first enquiry, arriving for first day of training right through to passing my test, the communication has been excellent and the instruction invaluable. Fantastic experience: Excellent training centre passed my C+E articulated lorry test first time with only 2 minors, can't recommend them enough. They are competitively priced aswell, I doubt you will find much cheaper. And the instructors have decades of experience and knowledge behind them. Also the vehicles are good, a ease to drive.
