He respects whatever you have driving experience or not, he is taking all lessons seriously and takes notes with all the mistakes you are doing on lesson and explains correct ways all the time. Fantastic experience: Strongly recommend Surya Driving School! I had six hours of driving lessons with Chandra, who was able to fit me into his weekend schedule at short notice. He was particularly helpful in teaching techniques for parallel and bay parking, and also negotiating roundabouts, both of which I was struggling with. Chandra provided me with a document showing the explanations of what would be expected in the test. He demonstrated his points by drawing diagrams on sheets on paper which I then took home. I was able to take these lessons back to use on my parents car. The weekend before my test, Chandra and I did a mock examination and I got a bit of a fright making several silly (serious) errors, which brought me back down to earth! I eventually passed with just 2 minors. Thank you, Chandra!

Fantastic experience: Came across Surya star driving school after being stood up by another driving school, with exam less than 2 months away I approached Chandra sir and he like the academy name he indeed is a Star and a true gentleman. He helped me pass my test with 2 minors !! He taught me all the techniques and always encouraged that driving is supposed to be fun and not nerve wracking and that is something that encouraged me (as a very nervous driver) to pass my test today. His unique way to draw every roundabout, junction and crossroads to make it easier for me to understand my mistakes made it so much clearer to grasp and get my head round things. He also gives you a test score sheet like a mini mock tests once you are well on the road and guides you on areas of improvement which I found extremely helpful. I can't recommend him enough. Negative experience: Unprofessional. Messaged them asking for lessons and the man couldn't give me a straight answer on availibility. I gave them all the information they needed and he told me to message HIM next week! He kept sending me the same templated message about if I am flexible with my timings then they can book me a time, when I constantly said "I'm flexible, what time do you have available?" They never replied with and ACTUAL time. Such an infuriating exchange.

Mr. Chandra was my driving instructor who helped me understand the nitty gritties of driving within the UK rules. I took the intensive training before my test and he told me after 3 days to reduce the number of hours as I was almost ready. Fantastic experience: I passed my car test in first attempt with just one minor. Surya has wonderful knowledge, notices your mistakes very clearly and helps you to correct them. I like the way he reviews the mistakes and explains them all on paper with clear diagrams which I can take home later to revise. He remembers each and every mistake I did in the previous class which might be a week ago and helps practice on them until I am perfect. He is fun to learn with and puts you to ease when you’re stressed. He provided me first two lessons free of cost and has always been flexible enough to provide me classes anytime including Saturday and Sunday. The practice of hither green route with round abouts multiple times helped me in getting comfortable with it. Overall, I am very happy that I chose the right school which helped me pass with ease.

Fantastic experience: After loads of search in South East London area for driving schools, I decided to use Surya Star driving school for driving lessons and it was the best decision I ever made. Chandra sir is meticulous, patient and makes you feel at home behind the wheels. On one side he teaches you the safe and right way to drive, on the other side he makes you aware of the pitfalls to avoid. He takes active interest in ensuring that you succeed in passing the test and continue to be an excellent driver post that. He provides first few sessions free which provides ample opportunity for learner to assess fitment and learning styles. Since I had less than two months and I work full time and late evenings, he did an intensive course with driving classes at 6:30am in the morning. He is very flexible with schedule, based upon learner's requirement and is always on time to lessons. Best part of his lesson is he always takes his students in most of the test routes so the students are confident when it comes to driving test.I am glad I had him as my driving instructor and passed my driving test.

Fantastic experience: I was a beginner at driving and didn’t know anything about driving. Chandran worked really hard to teach me as a beginner. He was amazing, he gave me the confidence I needed to pass. He is very punctual for the lessons. I passed my test with 2 minor faults. He is very flexible in the timings including weekends.

Fantastic experience: Mr Chandran is very good as a person and a great instructor. I was very nervous to begin with but he made me feel comfortable from my first lesson. He let me get behind the wheel straight away and gave me the confidence and skills to be comfortable driving through his patient method of teaching and his skills at explaining situations and procedures on the road. He practically demonstrates it on the paper the mistake you did and how to improve it. With the areas in which I needed more practice (roundabouts!) we focused on these before the test to ensure I was ready. Flexible timings and dates. Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test with Surya Star Driving school. Instructor Mr.Chandran is very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Although I have a Indian drivers license I was low in confidence on clearing the exam when I just started the lessons. Mr.Chandran helped me overcome all bad habits and I am now a much safer driver. His way of identifying mistakes and correcting is worth a mention. I would definitely recommend Mr.Chandran to anyone wanting to learn to drive. Fantastic experience: My experience with Surya Star Driving School was excellent. The instructor is very clear and helpful when giving instructions and gives good advice which helped me pass my driving practical test first time with only 3 minor mistakes.
