Fantastic experience: The best driving instructor I had. Had a few instructors before hand who wasn’t patient with me, my friend suggested Richard and he was so patient with me and I’m so glad I found him! Richard is very understanding and patient with you. I was a nervous wreck and he calmed my nerves down. Wouldn’t recommend anyone else!

He has really little time to get me ready for my test and do an amazing job. It's a great confidence builder, and each lesson makes you better and better.

Fantastic experience: Whatever stage of learning to drive you’re at, I would highly recommend Richard at RPT Driver Training. I found Richard really met me where I was - I needed someone who was patient, reassuring, could suggest a different way to do a manoeuvre if things weren’t clicking the first way, as well as being thorough and technically knowledgeable. I feel Richard moulds to the needs of his learners rather than the other way around, and he supports you how ever best you learn. Richard doesn’t just help you to pass a test; he’s very committed to making sure you feel safe and confident in your own driving ability. Nothing ever felt like it was a box-ticking exercise and instead he really gives you the tools to become a good, safe driver on the road beyond just taking the test. Aside from being a fantastic instructor, Richard’s a lovely person, easy to chat to, and I always felt relaxed and comfortable in our hour lessons. He always arrives for lessons with time to spare, is very responsive to messages, and is accommodating in his schedule where he can.

Fantastic experience: Richard is an amazing driving instructor and I would highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive! He was my second instructor, and I am so happy I made the swap. Lessons have been stress free and fun as well as extremely educational. Not once did Richard get annoyed at me, or raise his voice. I especially appreciate that not only did he tell me WHAT to do, but also WHY I was doing it. This made learning much easier for me as I was able to understand the thought process rather than only gaining muscle memory. I recently passed my second driving test with zero faults and I have Richard to thank. Life is about to become a lot easier with a car! Once again, huge thanks to Richard!

I always doubted myself and he honestly puts your mind at ease.. it’s like going for an hours drive with your mate! Fantastic experience: When I first started driving with Richard I was such a scared and nervous driver, with a constant death grip on the steering wheel, but his personality and teaching style put me ease almost instantly. I actually felt comfortable when driving for the first time in 8 years! Fantastic experience: I recently passed thanks to Richard! I'd had no previous lessons and knew nothing about how to drive, but from the first lesson he started building my confidence. Lessons were always something i looked forward to, and missed when when we had the covid lockdown breaks. He was recommended to me and I'll certainly be recommending him to anyone that asks!

I found his method of teaching easy to understand and lessons were enjoyable. Learning manoveours were so much easier than I had previously been taught. Fantastic experience: I started my driving lessons with RPT Driver Training after having 2 previous local driving instructors let me down by cancelling lessons etc. Straight away on my first lesson Richard made me feel at ease and as my lessons progressed I could feel my driving skills improving as well as my confidence! Fantastic experience: After trying a few different instructors I finally went with Richard from a recommendation. I hated driving before and dreaded going on lessons. As soon as I got in the car with Richard he was very easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. He always gave easy and clear instructions and I seemed to achieve so much in such a short amount of time. With every lesson I gained more confidence, which I never got with other instructors. With a calm and collected attitude plus access to useful resources, accommodating to all paces is clearly the backbone of this prestigious tutor.
