Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend Gears Driving School for any learners - I passed first time with only 10 hours with Aroon. He went through all the key aspects of driving in detail to make sure I was ready to do my test. He asked if there was anything I was struggling with and focussed on that in the lessons leading up to the test to make me a more confident driver.

Fantastic experience: The driving instructor has helped me overcome my fear on the roundabouts and kept my nerves in check, has repeatedly helped me get past being nervous with the mock tests. They will support you and turn your weaknesses into strengths. Full review: I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Aroon for guiding me to success in my driving test. This journey was far from easy! The extended duration it took for me to pass the exam can largely be attributed to the disruptions caused by COVID-19. As a result, I worked with multiple driving instructors over the past few years, including those from well-known schools like Red and AA. In comparison, Aroon's instruction stands head and shoulders above the rest. His demeanor is consistently calm and professional, with instructions that are crystal clear. Most notably, he excels in providing mock tests that closely mirror real test scenarios, even down to the choice of test routes. He evaluates performance with the scrutiny of the strictest examiner, a quality that sets him apart from others in the field. After experiencing disappointment in my initial attempts with different instructors, I embarked on a short-notice intensive course with Aroon just before my third try (due to a DVSA cancellation prompted by my previous instructor's unavailability). The experience was incredibly beneficial, and I was particularly impressed by Aroon’s mock test preparation, which surpassed my previous experiences. Interestingly, the test route for my third attempt was precisely the same as the mock test route Aroon had previously utilized (in West Bridgeford). Regrettably, an unexpected mistake (the examiner noted a slight drift in the Meadow Lane, see the photo attached) led to my failure, despite only a few minor faults (was quite gutty by it). Thankfully, I managed to secure another test slot two weeks later. Following two more mock tests with Aroon, I finally succeeded on my fourth attempt, albeit with a number of minor faults (possibly due to a particularly strict examiner). In an intriguing turn of events, the test route for my fourth attempt (Calton) was also a familiar area from Aroon's mock test repertoire, though not the exact one this time. Beyond his exceptional instruction, Aroon also demonstrates fairness in his pricing. He applied a premium for the short-notice course and test, which was entirely reasonable given the urgency of my third attempt. For my fourth attempt, he reverted to the standard pricing, exemplifying his integrity. I also appreciated that Aroon consistently provided the full duration of the lesson without any time deductions, a practice I found lacking with most of my previous instructors. In summary, Aroon is an outstanding instructor, and I wholeheartedly recommend his services, especially his mock test preparation. His expertise and dedication were instrumental in my success, and I am deeply grateful for his invaluable support throughout this journey.

Fantastic experience: Gears driving school was the most best decision I made to pass! My instructor was very patient, supportive and taught me everything I needed to know and let me take my time. At one point I was very hopeless and my instructor helped me build confidence in my driving. I was shocked as it only took me 4 months and before I came to this school I was learning for 2 years and was getting nowhere. So yes if you want to learn how to drive and pass this driving school is the best!!!

Before coming to gears I was with another instructor who after numerous lessons I felt I was making no progress just constant circling. A family friend recommended Gears and the level of professionalism with built in demonstrations on an iPad showing roundabout lane discipline , T junctions all with built in diagrams made my progress dramatically increase and my confidence so passing first time was no problem at all today . 10/10 would definitely recommend. - Sahil

Fantastic experience: Late review but I contacted Aroon from gears driving for lessons for my son who'd had his license revoked previously and he was a great help and had him passed within 4 lessons (roughly over a period of 6 weeks). Fantastic experience: As a new driver I was very nervous, however Aroon made me feel very comfortable. I was only with him for a few months but feel I made incredible progress and my confidence increased significantly. We always went over what I had achieved/felt needed work etc which served me very well. I was very unhappy when I could not continue lessons due to moving from Nottingham however I would definitely recommend him as a teacher, we moved at my own pace though he did push me when necessary and I would have loved to continue lessons with him.
