2nd2None Driving School

Fantastic experience: Was recommended Lorraine by co-workers and she has made this difficult process of learning to drive so much easier, and taken away all of the nerves that come with it. I would 100% recommend her to anyone else looking for a driving instructor in the future. Flexible with hours, and very accommodating with your needs. Office staff were very helpful and fast at rebooking practical tests for me.

Fantastic experience: I First contacted 2nd2none when I was just interested in becoming a driving instructor, their approach was informative without pressure, I wasn't chased into signing into a franchise or anything like that, which other schools have done from the very first enquiry. I booked two hours with my local trainer and got to ask him lots of questions about the job whilst he carried out an assessment drive with me. I then had the opportunity to sit in the back of one of his lessons to get a feel for the job before committing any further. I decided I liked the job and after speaking to several schools I decided to take the plunge with 2nd2none and this was probably the best decision I've ever made. My trainer Nathan Drewitt has been a rock throughout my training, I took a very indepedant approach to the first two of the three tests but he was still interested in how I was doing, we carried out some limited training for my part 2 test but no time was wasted in the short sessions I booked in, getting my driving upto a better standard. Once I passed my part 2 Nathan tailored my 40 hours of one to one in car training to suit my learning style, it's this that sold me on the client centred learning that we should be practising as instructors from day one. (yes that's right everything was done face to face and not in group online sessions like other schools!). The school then sponsored me as an approved trainee driving instructor helping me lease a tuition vehicle through them (this was personal preference I could supply my own suitable car). I began teaching and gaining further experience during my additional 20 hours of training, during this time I was fully supported by the amazing office team, providing me with as many pupils as I felt comfortable with and checking in regularly to ensure everything was going to plan. These 20 hours were spent by Nathan assessing my teaching ability and style, helping me hone it to better meet clients needs and the criteria set out by the dvsa for the part 3 exam. I passed after an additional 5 hours of training on my second attempt after missing a pass by just one point the first time. So in a short space of time 2nd2none and Nathan managed to completely change my career from something technical but not particularly people focused to teaching / coaching, which is not something I ever thought I would be doing. I also had the pleasure of another amazing ADI Paul Meads sitting in some of my lessons and me sitting in some of his to help me progress, it's the amazing people you meet that help you along the way. Now I've passed the 3 exams will I be staying with 2nd2none? Absolutely! I've had some problems on my journey and at one point I thought it was over, Holly one of the owners was 100% there for me as a person and got anything she could do to help done and sorted without fuss to keep me on target. You just don't get that level of support nowadays. So for as long as 2nd2none keep supporting their instructors and more importantly their learners then I will support them. Not all franchises are equal, some of them are 2nd2none.

Fantastic experience: Where do I begin.lorraine has changed my life completely forever. I met Lorraine just over a month ago for a hours lesson. I had no confidence within myself and my driving ability, however that changed real quickly. After 5 minutes of being in the car with Lorraine my confidence got boosted instantly. I told myself for years I will never pass my test but Lorraine told me i will pass when we get our test booked. My test was today Friday 15th and I have PASSED I wouldn't have done it without Lorraine's help and confidence boosting. Lorraine has been very patient with me whilst teaching me for the 9 hours I've had before my test. Also a humongous thank you to Holly for arranging my test so soon, I can now drive my baby girl who's due in under a month !!!!! THANK YOU 2ND2NONE THANK YOU.

Fantastic experience: I found 2nd2none as a local company, process was very simple to book! a couple emails back n fourth and it was all sorted, I started my driving in June with the amaaaazing Lorraine :). She is very flexible and sacrificed a lot of her time for me, I always knew when and what time my lessons were! I will really miss listening to her singing along to whatever's playing on smooth radio lol. If you’re looking for a smooth driving process I couldn’t recommend 2nd2none and their instructors more!

Fantastic experience: There’s so much I could say about Lorraine. She has been nothing but amazing during a long almost 2 years with me, I started out really unsure but Lorraine was amazing at boosting my confidence on the road even with some silly mistakes I’ve made. Being super calm and patient with me while I got my theory and practiced with other cars (I still didn’t mind the Corsa but I will never drive to Frome again). Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: I began learning to drive with Lorraine in May 2024 and passed in the November. Lorraine was so flexible and booked me in for weekends and was dedicated to making me comfortable. I also had an extra lesson with Glenn and a mock test and he was so kind and helpful. Fantastic experience: I started with another instructor but had to move due to her retirement. I found 2nd2none and immediately felt safe and confident driving with Lorraine. I’d really recommend her for anyone who is nervous about going for test and is looking to have fun and learn to drive. Fantastic experience: I had Andy Bolt as my instructor. He was extremely knowledgeable, calm and patient and gave me lots of tips. The driving school also use the Total Drive app so you can see your progress and what areas you need to focus on. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: My expiriemce with Lorraine at 2nd2none has been amazing , from the first lesson I had with her she was supportive , kind and understanding , her warm personality made the experience so easy .. Loraine goes above and beyond for her students she tailors every lesson to that individual and makes them feel at ease whilst leaning . Fantastic experience: i started with under 17’s with lorraine and it was very fun then once i turned 17 i started with real driving lessons And it took me around 30 hours and finally passed thanks to holly and lorraine for finding a cancellation and my experience with lorraine was fantastic and she is willing to help you in anyway you need to pass, and the whole of 2nd2None are great especially holly for helping find an earlier test and they are very easy to talk to and make the driving experience fun and a good time for everyone

Fantastic experience: Firstly, a great driving school company! completely worth all the time and money dedicated towards my lessons. Lorraine has been absolutely fantastic, from giving up her weekends/ days off to actually taking the time to go through all the parts and manoeuvres i couldn’t understand. Not only being a brilliant instructor but also making sure her students are always okay and well before even getting into the car, shes also great to have a chat about anything with. Many thanks to Holly for being great at finding me tests so quickly so i could pass! Overall, a terrific driving school with lovely and dedicated staff.

Fantastic experience: Lorraine made driving exciting and never made me feel anxious or judged, i’d recommend her to anybody. i couldn’t be more grateful for everything she’s done for me in just 2 months whether it’s giving up her saturdays to give me a lesson, making me cry with laughter or, like yesterday, spending a whole lesson talking me through my test (therapy should be her plan b). she is in fact, the goat.

Negative experience: Half of prebooked lessons cancelled on short notice, and they do not give a flying monkey about clients’ plans or timelines. Not answering phone lines or returning messages. The 2 Instructors involved were both stinking of cigarette smoke and had bad breath, disgusting to be next to them in a car. These instructors contradicted and criticised each other, not great for learning anything.

Fantastic experience: I passed my test with Lorraine on the 27th February 2020. During my lessons Lorraine made sure to ensure I was OK and happy with we were due to learn that day, adapting her teaching style to suit my way of driving to make it safe and suited to me. I had 2 previous driving instructors who were not up to par, demeaning and didn't suit my way of learning, due to my autism. However when I learnt with Lorraine, she ensured that I understood everything, laughing with me about my mistakes and helping me learn from them. The lessons I had with Lorraine felt like driving with a friend, very laid back and smooth sailing no stress involved whatsoever and this is why I passed. She covered absolutely every single topic and went over the things I needed more practise on. I passed because of Lorraine. Thank you Lorraine! I couldn't reccomend 2nd to none driving school enough!

Negative experience: Do not use! Inappropriate to my daughter, lies, always late if he didn't cancel altogether. Shocking behaviour all round, let down daughter day before test as he clearly double booked so had to sort another car. I could go on. He was more than happy to keep taking a 17 year old girls money. Managers have done absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. You should all be ashamed of yourselves! Hi Yes I have the right driving school. I have emailed and called so many time regarding this matter and apparently all correspondence was passed to yourself. I'm sure you have worked hard for your business, I'm not disputing that, the way this matter was handled has been terrible. I have sent a further email to you. Regards
