Fantastic experience: I was recently moved to the UK and I have never driven on UK roads before although I have full license for South East Asia. After my first sessiom with Vern, I realised that I was an irresponsible driver who knew how to drive but did not know much about the safe driving practices. He has been very flexible, supportive and approachable throughout my journery to acheive my UK driving test on my first try with one driving fault. It is not only about passing the test on the first try, most importantly, his lessons are about how you should drive consistently for your lifetime. So if you are looking for an instructor who always looks beyond passing your driving test, he is 100 percent the ☝️

Fantastic experience: 5 stars does not do Learn with Vern justice. 10/10. Highly recommend. I was told by two previous instructors that: "You will never drive," and "Driving just is not for you." And both previous instructors refused to teach me as I was a very anxious and nervous person and driver. Also I had dyspraxia, which meant I was quite (very) difficult to teach. Despite this fact, Vern took me on as a student. And promised me I would be able to drive one day. Vern is non-judgmental, patient and understanding. Vern persisted to teach me how to drive, even throughout the (many) tears and tantrums. Vern kept his promise. Recently passed my practical. And as a bonus, I was able to prove those 2 instructors wrong thanks to Vern. Forever grateful.

Fantastic experience: when I joined learn with vern I was terrified of driving and never thought I would pass my test but learn with vern helped me push through my fears and build up my confidence. They helped me learn so much and they always made me feel comfortable and like I was a good and safe driver. Learn with vern made my driving experience easier and made me feel ready and at ease in the road. Fantastic experience: I started my driving lessons in late 2023 with Tony and even with very limited previous driving experience, Tony was able to get me to a confident driving mindset by early May with a first time pass and only 1 fault. He is a brilliant instructor with a positive mindset towards students and will definitely get you that pass! Learn with Vern is an amazing driving school, would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: The best person to learn to drive with truly has been a god send, i got into the car on my first lesson with the intention to move over to automatic as I though I couldn’t do manual, but vern was the most understanding and patient instructor I could of asked for, he took the time to understand and how to best teach me so I understood and was confident in driving, even when my anxiety took over he knew exactly what to do and say, he never stopped pushing me to do the best I can! So thankful for learning to drive with him! Definitely recommend him everyone I know and see!

Fantastic experience: Where do I even start! Before learning with Vern, I was so utterly nervous but as soon as I met Vern, all the anxiety went away! He is the most patient, funny and genuine person ever. I could possibly recommend a better instructor. He allows you to take things at your own pace and won’t pressure you into anything at all. Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Vern! Vern is such an amazing teacher. He was patient, knowledgeable, and helped boost my confidence, not only on the road but as a person. Vern’s teaching methods were clear and effective. At the very beginning of my lessons, my anxiety was through the roof! But from the beginning I knew I was recommended to the right person. I had no confidence or self belief but from day 1 Vern was always patient, friendly and assuring. I always felt safe, comfortable and 100% supported! Every time he noticed I started to get panicky or anxious he would ease my anxiety and make sure I was alright and ready to carry on. As each lesson went on I gained so much confidence which I did not think was even possible so I will forever be grateful for that as the confidence didn’t just grow as a driver but as a person. One of the things I really struggled with initially was navigating roundabouts. I remember during my lessons with Vern, I used to try my best to avoid roundabouts because they seemed so intimidating. But Vern, being the amazing instructor he is, encouraged me to face my fears and taught me the proper techniques for navigating roundabouts. Now, I feel much more confident and comfortable when encountering them on the road. Vern truly helped me conquer my roundabout anxiety! I never imagined myself taking the driving test, as I thought I would fail. But here we are, I passed my practical driving test on the very first try! All because of Vern. I will forever be grateful for the help he has given and the patience he had, it meant a lot for me. I will most definitely miss the lessons. Once again Thank you Vern! :)

Fantastic experience: Learning to drive with Vern has been from start till finish what i can only describe as a wonderful experience. On every lesson i learned something new and important which helped me become a better, sensible and most importantly a safer driver on the road because once you achieve that than preparation for the test seems just like another routine drive rather than a mountain to climb. His methods of teaching is the best among all the previous instructors i had. The best bit of his teaching that i liked was how quickly he picks up on the errors i would make and thoroughly explains where i did go wrong , why it was a error and how could i improve on it . There’s plenty more that i could write but i will let his record speak for itself . In the end I just want thank him for all the extra efforts he put on me and other students to achieve our goals .

Fantastic experience: I came to Vern with baggage. Lack of self confidence, suffering from PTSD, high anxiety and was an emotional mess. I had years of bad experience with inadequate driving instructors. Vern was honest from the word go. He wanted to know my barriers, he wanted to know me. He took the time and tailored his teachings to how I would respond best. Vern genuinely wanted the best for me, he wanted to be part of me resetting my life and he has achieved that. I never once deaded a driving lesson as I knew Vern wasn't going to put me in a situation where I would freak out of set my mental health off into a downward spiral. I couldn't wait to meet up, chat and put the world to rights. I past my test, yes I was an emotion wreck when the examiner said I'd past, l looked to Vern and his smile was genuine, honest and reassuring I did good. Negative experience: started out by block booking as it seemed the best all round option, had two lessons then on the 3rd lesson with less than 4 hours notice he cancelled the 3rd lesson saying he was sick and when i questioned it i was told my attitude was wrong that i questioned.then was bombarded with things i had said wrong then told he no longer wanted to be my driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend learn with Vern enough. I had 3 different instructors and got to the point I thought I’d never pass and gave up. A few years late I heard some good reviews about learn with Vern and decided to try again. Just over 20hrs of lessons and I have passed! Sean made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Fantastic experience: Vaughn is an excellent teacher, easy to talk to and approachable. He could change his style of teaching to suit my situation; I was very nervous to begin with but he increased my confidence in driving ten fold. One of the most valuable things were the discussions we had about what driving will be like once I've passed, how to deal with new situations I've never encountered in my lessons or how to deal with different types of drivers on the road etc. I've found this to be a massive help since passing. Fantastic experience: Truly brilliant driving instructor. He was able to judge my ability and tailored my lessons to suit. His teaching style helped build my confidence and he’ll keep trying different approaches until you have your “lightbulb” moment, and everything falls into place. I passed my test first time and although he’d probably say it was me that did it all, it wouldn’t of been possible without his brilliant lessons. Post test-passing, he also took me for a motorway lesson which I genuinely advise all new drivers to do.
