Fantastic experience: cannot recommend des enough! truly so patient and kind, always felt safe driving with him no matter what! managed to pass with only 1 minor thanks to him and not only a good instructor but a friend too, will miss driving with him x

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough of Des. He was absolutely brilliant with our daughter. He took her from a really nervous learner to a first time pass student. His professionalism and understanding of what a student needs is first class. He has a really calm and measured approach, a great sense of humour and our daughter immediately took to him. He doesn't just take the money. When he felt she was ready to drive on her own He said immediately you don't need me anymore. We asked for refresher lessons nearer to the test date and he was happy to help. A great instructor an highly recomnended

Fantastic experience: After 10 years of trying to over come anxiety and a fear of driving, from the first lesson until I passed my test just a few months later with 3 minors, I can’t believe how easy and enjoyable I now find driving, having genuinely thought I would never reach this stage. Dez has the patience of a saint and made me smile every lesson, even the ones where I got upset after making mistakes! He explains the process so well and in a way I actually understood and didn’t advise me to take a test until I was actually ready, he also found the time to fit me in even though instructors are under huge pressure right now and have limited availability post pandemic. Fantastic experience: It could have been so utterly horrible. I am a 'mature' learner; I already had an American driver's license, and with it, 30 years of questionable habits. British roads are frighteningly narrow to Yankee eyes, and there is the dreaded reality of roundabouts. Lots of them. The rules of engagement are really, REALLY different. West Sussex roads are notorious for bends, curves, and hills; people also drive far too fast (according to British friends). But Des has nerves of steel. He gave me the information I needed to hear, as often as I needed to hear it, and in as many different ways as possible (and he really does show great restraint). His reflexes make me wonder if there's specialized military training in his background, but one doesn't like to ask. I am thankful. This is an instructor totally committed to putting good drivers on the road. Listen to him and there's hope, even against great odds. I passed the first time, and it is due to this gifted teacher.

Fantastic experience: As a young person I grew up in an area where there was no train station and a limited bus service. Taking driving lessons and passing my test I still count as one of the top 5 things I have achieved in my life! It has given me the freedom and independence to travel all over the country including Wales and Scotland and enabled me to drive abroad too! That is why choosing the right driving instructor and getting my 2 sons through their driving test has been a top priority for me. I was fortunate enough to meet Des before I knew he was a driving instructor and he has now become a close family friend. He has an easy going nature and is warm and friendly. He made my sons feel at ease and they felt comfortable in his company. Not only is he patient he has a a great sense of humour too, which I feel is important when you are starting out. Des is honest and open which makes him approachable regarding constructive feedback. Both my sons passed their test first time which is a testimony of Des's high first time pass rate.
