Fantastic experience: Excellent driving school as I had a great experience preparing for my driving test with John. I needed to get my UK license as I had recently relocated to Scotland. I have driven in many different countries but needed to prepare for the UK driving test. I had a horrible experience with another school & instructor, which unfortunately many of my colleagues said was quite common. I knew I had to find someone who was understanding, calm and communicated well. John, was all that and more! I gained confidence and the familiarity of the area around Dunfermline. When John was sure I was ready for the test, I passed it one the 1st try with only one minor. I was thrilled! I feel like a better driver after my lessons. In addition to the lessons, which were easy to book and suited my preferences for early morning lessons, they also have great videos to reinforce key learning points. I did an intensive automatic driving course over a weekend, and John took so much time away from his family to make sure I was at the standard necessary for my driving test. John prioritised teaching me how to be a safe driver on unfamiliar roads, and forming better habits. Passing my driving test felt a natural outcome of learning to be a better, safer driver.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend! John was a great instructor, always remaining patient with me when I made a silly mistake and he explained everything to me in a way that made sense and didn’t over complicate or overwhelm me. I was nervous about starting lessons again but John was really encouraging and managed to help me relax and have a little bit of a laugh. Before my test John had made the change to Automatic so we couldn’t continue manual lessons in the driving school car, but he went out his way to keep me as a student and help me learn to drive my own car and continued to ensure I was test ready. As well as being a great instructor, it was easy to keep in contact with John and ask any questions I had. The online system for booking lessons was great for checking availability quickly and allowing for me to book lessons according to my own schedule. I also found the YouTube videos posted about the junctions and roundabouts informative and they helped to put my mind at ease on the lead up to my test. Fantastic experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (AMAZING) I cannot recommend Gary highly enough as a driving instructor! From the moment I began my lessons, I was extremely anxious about driving. However, Gary's calm and reassuring demeanor immediately put me at ease. He has a remarkable ability to adapt his teaching style to suit each individual's needs, ensuring that you feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. His patience and clear instructions made learning to drive an enjoyable experience, and his encouragement helped me overcome my fears. After about 11 hours of weekly lessons with Gary, I had to move down to London. I tried continuing my lessons there, but after one horrible experience, I immediately knew I needed to get back to Gary. I messaged him straight away to book an intensive driving course. His professionalism and dedication were evident as he swiftly arranged everything, and once again, his exceptional teaching skills shone through. If you're looking for a skilled, supportive, and adaptable instructor, Gary and the Pass Plus instructors in general are the perfect choice regardless of your age or abilities. Fantastic experience: I have had the absolute best learning experience with YourPass and specifically my instructor Jamie Lee Mitchell! I began this journey of learning to drive in February filled with anxiety and from day 1, Jamie has been nothing short of amazing - he has been so patient and calmed me down right away and made the whole experience fun and interesting too! I have had such a laugh during this time too which has overall improved my time learning and I even got to the point where I was enjoying driving and felt confident in my own abilities. I am over the moon to have passed first attempt with Jamie’s support behind me and I feel so proud of how far I have come since beginning in the park and ride car park feeling like 5mph was like 60mph! I could not recommend YourPass enough to anyone who is beginning to learn to drive! Such a lovely team overall and they have great videos to learn from online too! Thank you so much for everything!

As someone who was very anxious about learning to drive, John immediately put me at ease with his calm and patient approach. He was flexible, always keeping in touch and letting me know if any extra lesson slots became available. His support and encouragement significantly boosted my confidence, and his thorough teaching style ensured I was well-prepared for the test. I passed with only 1 minor! Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Your Pass, and Gary in particular, highly enough! I have learned to drive at a couple of different points in my life and had a decent basic understanding but always struggled with confidence and, as time went on without me feeling test ready and stop-starting lessons when I had tried previously, I started to put more and more pressure on myself because I just wasn’t getting there. At 33 I’d almost accepted I just wouldn’t be able to do it. I booked an intensive course with Your Pass which very much felt like one last throw of the dice. I passed last week - first time, with 4 minors. More than that, though, I have to say that Gary really helped coach me through my confidence issues - he was patient when my head would drop or I was harsh on myself and always found ways to help get me back on track. The techniques and reference points he taught me will stay with me for a long time and were genuinely pretty creative! We did 30+ hours of driving over the course of 5 days and I can genuinely say I really enjoyed it! Gary’s a great person, he’s a very patient instructor and Your Pass go above and beyond with all of the extra learning they can provide too, with videos and tutorials on YouTube. Donna was also always very helpful in managing my booking - so everyone I dealt with was great. Thank you again, I can never say it enough!

Fantastic experience: Jamie L has been such an amazing driving instructor and has had such a positive impact on my driving I couldn’t have done it without him! Id had some previous bad experiences with instructors and used to dread even going for lessons, would have panic attacks in the car and would leave my lessons in tears i honestly thought I’d never be able to pass my driving test. Jamie has been so supportive, calm and knowledgable from the moment I started with your pass even from our first lesson my confidence grew and I knew I’d finally found the right instructor for me everything finally made sense and I never once felt embarrassed or anxious in the car. He’s Very positive knowledge and made driving fun again. He made sure I always left the lessons having learned something new and gave positive feedback and constructive when I needed it. Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Your Pass Driving School. They were very professional from my first inquiry right through to my test. My instructor was Gary, who is excellent at teaching and very easy to get along with. He is clearly passionate about his job. Not only does he teach lessons, but he also creates YouTube and podcast content, which I found to be a great resource. Gary had great knowledge of the test routes and made sure to cover any potentially tricky junctions, ensuring I was well-prepared for the test. I felt very comfortable in the car at all times and found each lesson to be the right challenge for me. The car I learned to drive in was a Nissan Leaf EV, which was smooth, quiet, and a great car all around for learning.

Fantastic experience: Passed last year thanks to the help of John. He was incredibly patient and supportive, helping me overcome my driving worries and pushing me when I was lacking in confidence. If it wasn’t for Johns teaching (and banter!) I wouldn’t be the driver I am today. I am forever grateful! Also the videos on Your Pass YouTube channel are excellent, I still keep up to date with them! Many nights I watched and rewatched the different roundabouts of Dunfermline making sure I knew what lane went where. Overall I cant recommend Your Pass and John enough!

Fantastic experience: Recently passed my test with the help from instructor Jamie West, who helped me feel at ease every lesson. Explained everything clearly any mistakes I made he explained them thoroughly so I fully understood why something had happend and how to rectify it. Fantastic experience: Underwent driving lessons with John. I'd been doing lessons on and off for several years yet never had reached the point of taking my test. John made me feel completely at ease and highlighted specifically what I needed to work on to enable me to improve my driving. The booking system is great especially if you work shifts which aren't consistent it allows you to effectively book. Honestly hands down the best driving school I've learned with. I found Gary’s videos were both innovative and informative - massively useful prep for taking the test in Dunfermline. And a session with him on the road sealed the deal. He has been an absolute amazing driving instructor and has been extremely supportive and calm when my anxiety has kicked in about something. I passed my test yesterday with 2 minors all thanks to Stuart. I will really miss our lessons and the absolute laughs we have.

Fantastic experience: I had put off learning how to drive for quite a while and I finally decided to go for it last year. Jamie has been an absolutely amazing instructor not only taught me how to drive but also made me confident enough to feel safe taking my daughter out in the car. Fantastic experience: A bit late with the review as I passed a few months ago but I cannot recommend Gary enough! I was a slow learner and very anxious when it came to driving so it took me a while to get there but Gary was so patient, friendly and built up my confidence. He had lots of different ways of explaining things until I got it which really helped. He was also a great laugh which made lessons enjoyable. Also his videos are the best and helped massively! Fantastic experience: Update: I passed a couple of days ago. I can't thank Gary enough for his support. I'm currently in the process of learning with Gary. I cannot believe how I went from anxious mess to confident driver so quickly and that's all down to Gary. He never makes you feel judged and is so calm all the time. I should probably pay him extra to be honest as he's basically my therapist as well as my instructor haha!!

Fantastic experience: I was quite nervous to begin driving lessons, but my instructor Jamie Lee was brilliant and built up my confidence. I passed yesterday (first time!) and I cannot recommend this driving school more, I enjoyed my lessons and they were stress free!

Fantastic experience: Gary is an outstanding instructor - I can't recommend him enough. It was daunting taking lessons at a later age but he helped me achieve a first time pass with no minors, I seriously doubt I could've done that without his teaching. He analogised things in various ways until I understood it, and was prompt with lessons and always patient with me which made me feel totally calm throughout our lessons. He is the best around and an all round top guy.

Fantastic experience: After successfully avoiding the need to drive for most of my adult life, the arrival of three children in four years meant I finally had to learn in order to take some of the driving pressure off my wife. I wasn't confident at all and was quite convinced it would take a miracle to make me a competent driver. Yesterday I passed my test with only 2 minors and it's all thanks to Gary. He was patient and understanding, keeping me calm even on the bad days when I would come close to making a potentially catastrophic error. He was able to explain things clearly using a variety of methods (ask him about his famous "Gary Russell Parallel Parking Process") and has an extensive and increasing bank of fun and informative online videos that show how to avoid certain errors and how to navigate certain road types etc. The online booking system was also convenient and easy to navigate. I would recommend that anyone in the area looking to learn to drive, especially those who have might not have learned in their younger days and/or aren't confident in their potential to learn, should give Your Pass a shot.

Negative experience: Wish I could review the driving lessons, but I've never received a call or message back from Your Pass. I rang the owner to ask if they offered adult refreshers lessons (not driven in a couple of years and learnt to drive in Europe, so lacking confidence with British driving). I was advised that this was something they could help me with and to send my details via an online form to be contacted by one of the instructors, which I did as soon as the phone conversation ended; I received automatic email and text receipts. This was 2+ weeks ago, and nobody has been in touch, despite the online SLA claiming they "usually reply within hours". Perhaps my requirement wasn't as lucrative as someone trying to pass their test, however the ghosting, and subsequent lack of professionalism, is unacceptable. I have since found a better driving school and already took one of the two refreshers lessons I was after. I advise anyone needing refreshers lessons to look elsewhere. EDIT IN RESPONSE TO THE REPLY BELOW: Gary, so you wasted my time on the phone AND captured personal data on a form (which included home address, phone number, date of birth etc.) knowing from the start you weren't able to help me within any reasonable timescales as your diary is packed full for several weeks, if not longer. Well done.

Fantastic experience: Well what can i say about Gary he is an amazing inspirational understanding caring instructor I've had a few instructors that I didn't find very helpful with my nerves and anxiety cause iam a very nervous person but Gary understood this and took the time to find out who iam as a person and as a driver his videos that he makes aswell are very helpful and informative and my children especially my autistic son loves watching them and seeing the driving lessons (mock tests) and he never makes u feel bad for making a mistake he made me feel very comfortable and confident with my driving I will definitely recommend him to anyone as he is amazing thanks for all ur time and support. Fantastic experience: I always knew an intensive driving course was the right way for me to learn, but I also knew how important it was to get the right driving instructor. I couldn’t have hoped for a better teacher than Gary, calm, approachable and encouraging, he provided a safe space to ask questions, make mistakes and learn. Gary was relaxed, confident and has a great sense of humour and we got on really well, which is very important when you’re going to spend an entire week in a car together as part of the course. I’m not surprised he has nothing but 5 star reviews on here, he works hard, gets results and has well and truly earned the reputation he has built for Your Pass Driving School.

Fantastic experience: I started to learn in a manual car but this really put me off wanting to learn to drive. I opted for automatic and that’s where I found Gary. He has really helped to boost my confidence with driving, giving me experience on all types of roads, listening and responding to any questions I had and giving me the help I needed to pass my test first time! Fantastic experience: When you choose a driving school you never know if you will get a good instructor or not. But I was very lucky. I did my lessons with Gary, and he is an excellent instructor. He has a way of making you calm and relax while at the same time keeping you focus on learning to drive properly. He is a perfectionist so at the end of the lessons you will be able to drive to perfections. From the beginning, I was extremely impressed with Gary’s professionalism, organisation, reliability and well designed booking system. He is extremely passionate about what he does and makes every effort to support you to get to the driving standard needed to pass. The online resources he has taken the time to develop were a great help to me during my semi intensive course as I could review what we had covered in between lessons. Fantastic experience: I had an absolute fantastic driving Instructor named Jamie Lee, who helped me with everything I needed to pass. He has been very patient, supportive and encouraging from the very first lesson all the way until we were parked outside the testing center. Fantastic experience: I have been driving for 16 yrs on the left hand side in my country, so when I moved here and wanted to learn how to drive it was a little bit of a challenge for me. My instructor Jamie tried his very best to remove all of my bad driving habits and made sure that I followed all the necessary rules to be a good driver. He was also encouraging, professional, always on time, very patient and adaptable to my schedule. He focused on my weaknesses as a driver and build it up so I can be confident before my exam. On the day of my exam he made sure that I wouldn't miss any steps and he tried his very best to remind me, and very well indeed I passed my exam!

Fantastic experience: Gary and Jamie are the best instructors I've ever met. Gary and Jamie were very patient trying to come up with new techniques and ways of how to drive forward into a bay when I was totally stuck , until we finally succeeded . I've done the intensive course and recommend it to anyone who wants to pass the test quickly. Gary has an excellent free YouTube channel where he posts videos with tips and previus test feedback which I thought were very helpful and an essential part of my course to help me get ready for test quickly! Fantastic experience: Your pass Driving School is the perfect place to learn driving. The principal instructor, Gary, is so patient, calm and a motivator! I have left-hand driving experience of over 18 years and it became so difficult for me to drive here In the UK. But guess what? A friend me to Gary and I started learning how to drive right-hand! My first few lessons were so bad but Gary supported me with his calmness and motivational teaching styles. He will take his time to explain how to turn the wheels in a soft way and his demonstrations are fabulous. Gary is always available to discuss what I have done well and what needs improvement at the end of every lessons........reflections!!! Fantastic experience: Gary is the best there is, after having bad experiences with previous instructors i was quite scared about driving again but there was no need to be. Gary has a way of talking to you and calming your nerves without you even knowing he's doing it. The videos he puts up on his website are very helpful and no doubt helped me pass my test so if you are a student of his get watching they will help you. I was struggling with my confidence when driving before having lessons with Gary, and after my first lesson with him, I felt so much more capable. Fantastic experience: I am so lucky to have found and chosen Your Pass for my intense driving course. Gary managed to get me to pass in such a small amount of time and made a driver out of me, for which I cannot be more grateful! He is understanding and patient, he will also explain everything as many times as needed and will make sure you know your mistakes and get you to find your way of fixing them. I cannot recommend him and the intense course more. The guy will get you to a pass standard, as long as you're willing to listen and take in everything and obviously work with him. I could not have asked for a better instructor (so much banter as well, it will not be a boring experience, that's for sure). Thank you to him once again and to anyone wondering, Your Pass is definitely the way to go!

Fantastic experience: Gary was an excellent instructor and after struggling with a few previous instructors I gained a lot of confidence from Gary. His training methods make things simple and relaxed. I found his parallel parking method really helpful which I had struggled with previously. Gary keeps things relaxed and chatty during lessons and really helped take the pressure off in the run up to the test. Having had experienced with various instructors I couldn't recommend Gary more, especially if you have found lessons to be stressful. Thanks for all your help Gary.

He listened to my needs and responded by tailoring his teaching style to me. Laid back approach and a calming influence behind the wheel. His videos were really helpful, particularly the show me tell me revision questions. Really easy guy to get along with and puts you at ease with some great banter! 10/10 would recommend.
